Yes. These can be used just about anywhere.

Bend it? Adjustable torque tab would be pretty easy upgrade....

Yep. There may be better ways to accomplish this like an adjustable torque tab, but this is how manufacturers like Mud Buddy and Gatortail have decided to adjust tiller torque.
