The third game should start with Nemesis destroying the Zenith's planet and shows how helpless the Zeniths were when it all came to an end. That should be the prologue and that would be freakin awesome.

Nemesis isn't formless anymore. When it destroyed the Zenith colony, it took over their printers to take any form it needed to wipe them out. Nemesis is most likely on it's way to earth in a giant ship/fortress, I'm thinking something like a Borg Cube almost. So when it reaches earth it'll be able to again take any form it needs to fight us all. We're gonna need Hephaestus or Vast Silver to stand any chance against Nemesis.

@@ASimpleBall I have a suspicion she is even worse than she presents herself at the end. She says, "It wasn't me! I wasn't part of it! I didn't know!" an awful lot. She claims ignorance when Elizabet accuses her of helping the Zeniths try to steal Giaia. She claims she didn't know how bad the Zeniths were. But she made her real fortune in espionage and spyware. She brags about being clever enough to work in anonymity while she digs up counterintelligence dirt. And yet she 'didn't know'? What cinches it for me is the outfit, though! She *almost* looks like an angel--white suit, pink lipstick--but it's like she has that dark streak of night sky running right through her core. We see it emerging right at the neckline. It looks kind of like black lava about to overflow. She might be the most well done character in the series, but I'm thinking she was worse than we got to see. But that's what makes her a great character--we think about her way after her scenes are over!

@@PrestigeLearning Learning to depend on, accept help from, and caring about others is part of her character arc in Zero Dawn. I’m baffled about the number of people defending this game’s terrible writing and Aloy’s characterization.

I love the subtle difference in the facial expressions of Aloy and Beta at 4:45... both in total rejection of what Tilda says, but Beta looking timid and fearful, while Aloy looks determined and critical... their different personalities perfectly captured in their faces. The actress did a fine job there.

Let alone Tilda never thought about the obvious - Nemesis fissioning into multiple copies of itself, so it both stays at Earth and sends copies to other systems. Each of those copies will copy themselves, taking out the entire galaxy. Tilda and any remaining Far Zenith members would run to the end of the galaxy and it wouldn't be enough because Nemesis would eat everything else.

The Faro Plague wasn't by any indication what one would call sentient, nor was it malicious. Nothing about its emergence and nature was that predictable or understanable. Humanity didn't make "angry machines" through mistreatment or some other obvious mistake. They simply constructed machines with functions that were totally reasonable, in-context, but that they came to carry out well past that intended context, without end, and they found us useful matter to consume to those ends. Humanity was killed by a Paperclip Maximizer.

My guess is that the Faro Plague wasn't a glitch... it was faro trying to upload his digital sentience into the system for better control of thr machines.. only for it to go crazy like Nemesis did. Especially with the lengths that this game went to show Faro's ego and his attempts to remain immortal. This is a very likely scenario.

@@Killerkwoi13 Everything you just stated is correct according to the officially stated assumptions by the main characters of the series. HOWEVER, if you’ve read other fiction you know about authors use of “retconning” previous facts. This process is easier when it’s about events not fully understood. And in this context the machine hordes were made thousands of years ago. The “glitch” hypothesis may eventually be revealed to be fake. Well this is just a possibility. It’s up to GG to decide weather or not to do anything with this.

When Beta first says that there's something in deep space, following the Zeniths to Earth... for a second there, I half expected aliens to enter the picture... I'm glad they didn't. It would have been a weird turn and not have fit the overall story at all...

This scene pissed me off it makes me sick. I wanted to throw up with the twisted, perverted obsession of Elisabet that Tilda has placed on Aloy. Heck, she doesnt even see Aloy as Aloy, just as Sobeck. I also hate how she spent time getting close to Beta with the Data Channel, showing her "kindness" and "compassion", only to call her an inferior copy while deifying and glorifying Aloy. She didnt give two shits about Beta. All in all, shes almost as bad as Faro in my book in regard to narcisissim. I could go on with how much I hate Tilda right now but the comments section isnt a big enough space for me to do that.

Same here, i found her so fascinating and wanted to look around a little on the zenith island and Tilda's mansion post-game. Mansion was unlocked & there wasn't any new details that i noticed; Couldn't get into the island (invisible wall) which could of course just be game mechanics OR it could be they didn't want players to return to her body to find it missing or something o.0

This lady survived a terrorist attack as a child, survived Earth destruction, survived the destruction of Sirius Colony, survived Gerard and Erik when she betrayed them. So why not here too? @@FHAS3R Not really. As GAIA was put back at the base in the ending cutscene, she has her sub functions surrounding her. All but 2. HEPHESTUS and APOLLO. APOLLO is still on the Odessy in Earth's orbit. So my guess is they'll be figuring out a way to get to and from the Odessy with APOLLO in the next game as well as how to capture HEPHESTUS again.

Not just that, but the threat of Hephaestus returning to the machine’s network will probably mean it’s another big issue they’ll need to deal with. Knowing what it went thru when aloy and everyone else tried to merge him with Gaia, he’s definitely gonna attempt to throw them with everything it’s got. Especially noting the fact it now has access to the Zenith’s base, Hephaestus is now gonna probably have a mix of its own and Far Zenith’s technologies together to make the most deadliest machines it can spit out

Reducing Hades to a sputtering shell dwelling in his holographic wasteland "happy place" was a cool way to foil expectations. The game's plot moves fast, but remember this was designed as a trilogy, not an ongoing franchise (vs. "Assassin's Creed").

My theory for the next game we defeat nemesis by using the faro plague Nemesis does not have the deactivation codes Gaia does and I bet we'll find out Elizabeth Sobeck has a secret lying in that world necklace like a confession that the faro plague was caused by her in order to enforce a concessions degree against Ted Faro because in her time the world was falling between Order and Chaos.

Yeah, plus Tilda is sort'a "Secrets Keeper", but when she meet Elizabeth Liz already knew her. I loved the twiste but personally I would have preferred Faro as a next vilain! He survived has a weird mutated thing in his bunker I would have preferred it got out and tried to force himself a god (stated by the lore) I think it could have been awesome!

@@mattmedrala1947 it wasn't an off-screen joke. He was left off-screen to leave his grotesque figure to our imagination. As if it was so horrid they didn't even want us, the player, to see it. And his demise happened long before the events of the game -- what was left of him wasn't actually Ted Faro, but a giant mutated mass of barely sentient cancer cells rapidly reproducing and struggling to maintain life. Faro likely slowly lost his sentience over the course of years, perhaps even decades or a couple centuries, trapped within his own degrading body as he watched it become that monstrosity, which is a demise that was absolutely fitting for his character.

Maybe they will create another hades to fight against nemesis. Who knows but the way things stand now, I don't think they have a chance. Like 0% chance.

Unlikely they would recreate hades. Hades is a we are completely fk so let destroy everything and try again later. Issues is they don't have the resources to try again later

Elysium went offline after less than a 100 years after the Faro Plague :/ so unfortunetly no they have been dead for over 900years at this point :/ Its stated by Gaia if you ask her about Elysium sometime after Faro's Tomb

If all Nemesis wants is to terminate the Zenith, why would that still be a problem now that the Zenith have all been killed? MY guess for the sequel is that Nemesis will take a special interest in Aloy as a clone of Sobeck

Nemesis is basically just a ball of anger. It will attempt to glass Earth so that the Zeniths have no home to go to. It wouldn’t know that they’re all dead.

Nemesis should have been part of the lore where something big is coming and as calculated it will arrive in 50-100 years, across 2 more generations of people, a part of the lore that there is an end battle coming for them and they must all prepare for it. It would have been epic to know were we had the ancient's lore, now we will have a future lore, tbh maybe even after 1000 more years, just like how 1000 years ago apocalypse started, but it would end up to be WAY more epic when aloy is in her 40s in like the 4th-5th game, totally unexpected nemesis arrives much faster than prevesiouly thought, and now they gotta deal with it under stress underprepared, it was going to be EPIC.

Far Zenith ship traveled with 25% of speed of light, but whatever, Nemesis started to chase them after 6,5 years, so it's approximately in 6,5 years to come.

@@ultramedved it could be faster since there are no humans in the ship to limit the speed, but far zenith aren't humans either, they have harder durability than steel. If it helps on anything, sirius is 8.611 light years away, so they must have been in space for like 35 years traveling at 0.25 light speed, it is unlikely that nemesis is traveling any faster than 0.30 light years, as it would be traveling just 1 years after they have arrived even with 6.5 years headstart.

That's sadly impossible because they already have advanced GAIA Sensors and now, Far Zenith Sensors looking at Nemesis. Unless Nemesis somehow teleports, they will always know approximately when they will arrive.

Once nemesis was a simple discord bot, a path that inevitably reached this point.

What's the music from 1:03? I've been looking through the OST and haven't found it yet

I pretty much called it that Tilda was full of crap. The idea that a, well, Matrix type thing was going to turn on the Zeniths, that i didint see. Its was quite a story twist. You have some references to The Matrix and also so references to Battlestar Galactica, being chased across the galaxy by a artifical lifeform of your own marking thar turns on you.

*Spoiler warning for "The 100" TV series* In HFW, there were data points where Far Zenith mentions their cryostasis is old technology and they were working on technology that digitally transfers the human mind/consciousness. In "The 100" TV series, there are a group of people that have "immortality" via repeatedly transferring their minds from body to body over hundreds/thousands of years. I thought the Zeniths were going to be revealed to be only "immortal" via the same mind transfer (and not their bodies were immortal); so I was shocked to find out that Nemesis was the result of the Far Zenith technology (I should've realized my theory was wrong from the "Singularity" quest name though)

Moral of the Story? DON'T. BUILD. ROBOTS.

Moral: Go to therapy to not get obsessed with the clone of your ex-girlfriend who dies one century ago.

I'm confused about Tilda. She claims to be in love with Sobeck, yet wants to kidnap her clone and leave the world she rebuilt to die? It feels like a missed opportunity to show that maybe all Zeniths didn't suck so they could have another boss battle.

Well she regret that she and Elisabeth never stay togehter so like forever and ever and then after that was happend with nemesis she saw a Chance to get her back What i want to say is she is crazy obsessed of Elisabeth and she think with aloy it is something familiar because Elisabeth she is kind her mom Sry im german

I always thought the Zeniths could have survived but not in the way we learned in the game. And then this… definitely unexpected. The third game is going to be wild. I really hope the arrival of Nemesis is as epic as it should be.

Yeah but Nemesis had access to all their memories, such as passwords, how systems work etc. Which was why it so easily wiped out the Zenith's colony. It won't have that kind of access when it gets to Earth. It won't be able to use Minerva to activate the towers and reawaken the entire Faro Swarm again. Which is what it tried to do with Hades in the first game. Though there's still a good chance of it accessing the assets/facilities of the Far Zenith colonists on Earth or even reactivating the ancient Horus machines like in the Burning Shores. Guerrilla Games really needs to handle the story of the third game carefully. They've hyped up Nemesis so it has to be a legitimate threat and not just Hades 2.0.

Its like how Sylens said that there might be a way to beat Nemesis by searching for superweapons from 21st century, that i assume, would be top secret projects that weren't recorded in the APOLLO database or none of the Far Zenith were part of.

@@tonts5329 I was thinking the same thing. The thing that gave nemesis an advantage is it knew all codes and passwords and back doors to their system. If Aloy upgrades earth systems and codes it might not be able to take them out like it did with the Zeniths.

*** Nemesis comes to Earth *** - Alloy and allies : "You know those Zenith dicks, yeah we killed all them" - Nemesis : ??????? Nemesis is coming to Earth to destroy it to deny Zeniths, They're now dead, what is its motivation to do bad now ?. Hope im missing something.

OH MY GOSH. Oh my gosh. I don't think you're missing anything here! You're right. Like, maybe Nemesis is a pure nihilist, but the writing doesn't say Nemesis is bent on the eradication of all life. Like, that's not in the script! They should have had you in the writer's room. Really nice catch!

The Zeniths developed immortality but had to resort to petty theft to have the ability to terraform a planet.

It does make me wonder, what the natives/Earth defenders hope to do against a Extra-terrestrial machine super mind though when it arrives...

I wish tilda would just give up going away and live with the Elizabeth alloy now here on earth sence she care and love her. She says she reget it for 1000 years letting Elizabeth die. Now she have a chance to make it up and help this alloy to defeat nemesis in the next part 3 of horizon would be nice, but the developers didn't design the game this way. I just wish there will be more option to pick like the mass effect. Also i didnt want that black chick to die even if she was evil. People deserve another chance. I just hate to see characters that you spend time on a adventure dies.😭 i wanted tilda to lived!!!!

I was hoping to fight Gerard and a bit disappointed that he passed from Tilda's blast.

I love the storyand the game series, but it's asking a bit much for the third game. A quasi preindustrial gaggle against a Kardashev I-to-II entity? And I thought Mass Effect had set itself too big of a foe to reasonably take on.

Nemesis is pretty much the love child of the Nano Swarm from Moonfall and the alien horrors that live inside the ring gates from The Expanse

Continuing stories via DLC? So game industry should be able to release unfinished game?

I think that in the final epic fight against Nemesis they will somehow show this Massive AI conformed by negative emotions that the new world may be different to the old one, show him that the new tribes are not as shit as the zenith destructive mindset. That or Gaia will autodestruct herself with Nemesis after healing the planet letting it be completely habitable by the new humans.

I'm curious what Nemesis's motivation will be in the in third game because now all the Zeniths are dead its goal has been achieved. Will it get angry it couldn't finish them off itself? Will it be unable to make the distinction between Zenith and the rest of humanity? Will it blame the Earth's humans for interfering with its plans? I really hope they expand on the idea it is made up of human minds and not just have it be a typical extinction AI, we had that with Hades.

I was wearing the same armor in this cutscene.

i doubt even if they did want to erase nemesis back when it was benign it they couldn't have just because if it knew everything it would know where to hide

It's not.

The biggest plot twist that completely made me shocked. We fought not with an army of divine-like humans, but with refugees, flying away from some more horrible creature. You know, I created after this one small fanfic concept about next game. And here it is: *Zenith Renegades called Utopians started Sirian Revolution 500 years ago, but they've lost and escaped to Earth from "FW Zeniths", called by them as Loyalists. *Zeniths discovered Earth haven't got APOLLO database, but instead of land near GAIA they crash landed at Europe, western Asia and northern Africa. *Between Dawners (people from Earth) and Zeniths (nicknamed as Sirians or Star People) waged conflict known as First Contact War for over a century. *250 years before Horizon conflict ended and then modern states were born, mixed with both people. *After Nemesis sent extinction signal that woke HADES Renegades started to study it, but meanwhile Great War started in Europe and later some of them started to colonize other parts of planet. *During catching of HEPHAESTUS Aloy discover some Zenith are at Earth centuries before those Zenits from Forbidden West. *Nemesis try to arrive, but instead it wait for something, sending synths (human-like machines) and other machines looking like those from human's fantasy stories (dragons, banshees etc.) *Aloy and friends discover that at Antarctica there is constructed by FAS prison for AIs, that it fall because of VAST SILVER, which took control over "Duat Laboratories" and started Faro Plague. *GAIA defeated VS but not destroyed. It's hiding in laboratories, unable to produce machine or send signal. *Nemesis and VS working together for destroying life on Earth, but later Aloy discovers they instead trying to capture GAIA via connection (more powerful than her) and use terraformic system in order to create life on other planets, ripped them when they will be ready and thus have unlimited power for collective of Nemesis-VAST SILVER. *Aloy finding Duat Laboratories and using EMP device to destroy Nemesis and VAST SILVER, but she safe GAIA from it. With it all electronic devices are wiped out from every datas and GAIA can capture them once again. To be honest I don't believe Guerilla Games will read this fanfic, neither put some things from it into lore of Horizon 3 but who knows? Still, I'm not afraid of next game. They proved that they can create the most awesome lore and story for video game.😉

To be honest I'm trying with my own universe similar to Horizon. Named it Age of Stars, however it's more like science fantasy. Who knows, maybe some things from this little Horizon fanfic I will put to my story in the end.😛

All of Far Zenith are dead now right? So... What reason exactly does nemesis have to destroy earth now? Probably at this point it doesn't know all of Far Zenith is dead, but that's an easy to solve problem. Also it's a bit rich that they say nemesis "gained sentience". You made it from the minds of human beings. Are you sure it wasn't always sentient? More importantly, even though nemesis clearly has some twisted personalities, it's based on a collective of humans. Surely it can be reasoned with, have empathy or concern for anyone who wasn't involved in it's creation?

Knowing how the failed copies of the minds of New Zenith were merged to create Nemesis, it probably will want to wipe them all out "Out of spite" simply because Aloy beat it to it.

!! Warning potential spoilers for Horizon 3 !! I think the third game could be interesting, i personally think Vast Silver might have caused the glitch in the faro robots, Vast Silver was an Ai that was created in the 2040s when elisabet sobeck was still working for ted faro, in 2044 he went rogue and escaped but soon was captured, i think it was a lie because i found a datapoint that hints that he wasn't captured and still free somewhere in the world, i think Vast Silver caused the glitch because he was scared of humanity, and he might appear in the third game imagine Vast Silver vs Nemesis.

I recently got to - and past this part and got so mad when she turned on Aloy.

Watch them make Nemesis into a humanoid A.I like Aloy, since he is in someway a genenic clone of Elizabeth Sobeck and she was created by “Machine” not women.

It’s like the Last of Us, in that this story isn’t center’d around the monsters we fight against

why didn't she travel alone? Why did she fight aloy, i didn't get it. It makes no sense to fight at that point. Just go with a copy and let aloy deal with it herself

I hope there’s Horizon 3 I don’t know what it’ll be called but I hope there’s one please Guerrilla games make my wish come true. I also never trusted Tilda and I’m glad I went with my Gut instinct

There was a reason Aloy never saw what became of Ted. The writers wanted to leave up that interpretation up to us: Ted became a monster, but it's up to us to imagine how bad of a monster he had finally became.

The writers actually talked about why Aloy didn’t do this. They didn’t want the game to delve into body horror, which I understand. Personally, I think the Lovecraftian approach of leaving the fear to the unknown works better.

I have a feeling nemesis is gonna control much of the machines on earth. Kind of a repeated story if they go for that approach but it was real cool that theres a bigger villain out there

Not all the Zeniths are dead. Only 18 of them descended to Earth from the Odyssey. The Odyssey still has Zeniths on it. Also it was Nemesis that originally sent the extinction signal to Hades in the first game. It hates all humans not just the Zeniths.

Nemesis is an unhinged rogue AI that has the mind of every egocentric Far Zenith so it cannot be reasoned with. It woke HADES to destroy earthly life and HADES complied despite only being created to reset life on earth if the terraforming system failed

Aloy take Trinity's hand she knows the one, she will keep you safe. Let's go to space away from all the dying planet and nemesis, makes sense to me. I would had accepted that offer lol

I’m betting that nemesis is going to be a very cool and fun villain if they go the route I think they will it will probably project itself digitally as different zeniths throughout the game and having cool threatening and philosophical conversations with aloy at least that’s the route I would take if they don’t want to make a boring world ending villain

I hope they use Travis tates voice and speech of when he sabotaged the Gaia copy they stole, giving it his personality and speech pattern as it’s killing them all.

Make sure to remove the headgear for Aloy, all the headgear is repulsive to look at

Alloy could go with Tilda, become immortal, create timeachine, go back in time and save all. All be drinking Erend's ale. How to defeat Nemesis? inject Ted Faro glitch. And cause we already hacked that glitch, we just turn of Nemesis. Of cause Sylens rigs spear again :)

god the second part of horizon is so derivative of the first one. the first one is masterpiece

Okay, this sequel was _significantly_ not what i expected

I need to finish this. I got about 3/4 of the way and then got board with it. Game is good, story’s is good. But Imo they screw up skills armour and weapon so badly. If feels just took first game then threw into blender to see what sticks and what didn’t. IMO Aloy from first game would kicked Aloy ass from 2nd game. Imo first Aloy felt more Powerful from first game. Once you got all good gear max level. Loved first game and DLCS. Couldn’t finished HFB, tried twice, once when playing on ps4. Then when got my ps5. Ported my game over ps5 Got about 3/4 done then got bored with it or moved into other games.
