I don't know Everytime i hear Martina singing this i can feel my tears rolling down my face, reminds me of my past. OMG.

Not sure where all the hate is coming from. This song is very challenging, musically-speaking. It takes a very strong singer to do this song right and not butcher it. Martina McBride has a huge powerhouse of a voice, she has been singing since she was a child. Natural talent. If any contemporary female country singer today can even vaguely come close to doing this song like Tammy did, she can. Of course Tammy will always be the best. But she cant sing anymore. Martina is singing for her. This is absolutely lovely.

It is a very difficult song to sing. Im not a professional singer but ive sung in church and different places. Ive tried over and over to sing that song and can barely get through first line. Martina McBride did such a beautiful job.

This is my most favorite songs from the Legend Tammy Wynette, and to hear Martina singing this song on her Timeless album and now on this video, I can still hear Tammy through her and I know no one would ever do this song justice as Martina has. God Bless You Martina and Tammy!

Oh my gosh Jocelyn Vizzusi, when i went back and read my reply, " Nope, that wasn't George Jones, i thought to my self, that it sounded like i was being rude. I wasn't trying to be rude, at all, i was in the middle of giving two very overactive cats their meds and so i made it short. You were not the only one who thought that it was George Jones. My husband of 31 years, watched that video around the same time as i did, and exclaimed, oh my gosh honey look, George Jones is trying to fight back the tears!!🥰🥰 Don't be sorry it, sounds to me like you have a very caring heart!!❣❣

Martina McBride, one of the very few singers that can give me goose bumps.

Wow what emotion in that performance and seeing Billy's reaction seemed to get to Martina too. Beautiful!

A song few can sing, because you have to bow to the words. Martina did that!

Martina is a powerful singer. Nobody in country music today is as good as Tammy was. She will be missed by many for a very very long time.

This song sure brings me back to a time

I’ve loved this little woman since she kicked off!!! I loooove the older country and back in the 90s! Sounds today aren’t really “country” like it used to be....and many of the talents can’t capture me like Martina, The Judds, Lari White, Trisha Yearwood, Linda Davis, Janie Fricke, Billy Joe Royal, Holly Dunn, singer/songwriter Matraca Berg, Sammy Keyshawn, Lacy J Dalton, Dolly Parton, older Reba songs, and artists from back then!!! When I first heard her cover of this, SHE GOT ME FAST AS SHE DID WITH HER OTHER SONGS! And now....to see this live version, she got my tears streaming....STILL!!! I know, I know...I’m so late since this was put up in 2010....but when you’re going thru an every aspect of a traumatic disabling accident....doing my 4th spine surgery this year! The past 3 were 1 disc, 2 bones on either side surgery....it’s up to 3 discs, 4 bones now. With facing more which will keep reducing my range of motion with each section done! Battling massive blood clots and more stemming all from the new me that rose from the wreckage Oct 18th, 2013.... I LOVE TRUE ARTISTS like Martina and that is one thing that’ll NEVER CHANGE!
