I think they are angry and pissed because they know it reveals they are stupid, shallow and will pay a fortune, 60,000 to 120, 000 to be called elite. They are not paying for stuff, they are paying to be told they are special, not somehow the same as normal humans. They are that fragile about their ego and status they need to be continually told they are special, elite, perfect. Yeh right. The majority are probably lower to upper middle class. Why would actual rich people spend money to be trapped on a boat surrounded by a bunch of people they don't know, when they could easily just travel to these countries themselves using whatever transportation they desire? That's not to say there isn't rich people, but even the Richers are most likely retired upper middle class. There's also varying degrees to the types of cruise lines, rooms, and amenities offered, but a lot cruises can actually be fairly affordable, especially if you're good at finding deals or are willing to buy tickets more at the last minute. You could probably go on 2-4 cruises, which includes all your food for the week, for the same price it costs to spend a week staying on, eating at, and going to, Disney World.
