I don’t know, atheist swarms have existed on the internet since well before “woke” culture became a thing. They started in earnest around 2008 and are probably evenly divided at this point between far left progressives and anti-sjw edgelords. The one thing both sides agree on is swarming religious channels and posters

I can relate. I also run a Catholic TikTok page and I’m on the border of getting banned for the most ridiculous things. It’s ridiculous how much flack you get just for being Catholic, not just online but even in day to day interactions. I also agree with you that often times we do spend too much time on social media and need to focus on God more. I’ve found it far more fruitful evangelizing people irl than online!

People are more hateful of a beautiful girl doing God's work. Then a girl selling or exploiting her body. So sad about the people out there.

Tiktok is overrated. They suck as an App. I would sue them for promoting online bullying and use the proceeds to donate to pro life and other catholic things (but that's just me) :)

Hey Amber, this reminded me a bit of Tolkein's work in Tree and Leaf. The main character lost everything from his art masterpiece but God was still able to use the relationships with people like the gardener that were made along the journey to create something even more stunning than the artwork!! I pray that God will use this for something greater and the relationships that you formed through your TikTok account can blossom into something bigger too!

We fully support you Hippie. it's really wonderful seeing young Catholic, Christian people taking a leadership role. Don't let this system get you down. Not even 4 a sec. TikTok is ruining our generation.

I used to spend an hour + a day on tiktok and I believe it was truly damaging to my soul. I got so many negative videos on my for you page. I gave it up completely and now I am so much happier. ❤️

I agree they have a lot more toxic material on their site especially more so than posting about pets or saint quotes. They need to review their community guidelines that's for sure. Watching your experience makes me glad I never made content for that toxic app. Like you, my experience as a Catholic content creator has been positive on KZread. Though I'm not as brave as you are in some of the things I've said, and you're definitely an inspiration for the rest of us. Ironically though I think TikTok is why youtube has become better for Catholics and conservatives. They provide competition for youtube which forces it to value any content creator able to draw an audience and keep people on their platform. the KZread called "Moon" even made a video explaining that TikTok spreads toxicity on purpose as a means to weaken the west. Considering the country of origin of TikTok, and the rising geopolitical tensions and the grand international chess game we're witnessing, that makes sense. And their treatment of you proves that in my opinion. No wonder India banned the app entirely. Anyway, I've been meaning to comment here for a while to tell you that you have indeed been inspirational, and inspired me to be better as a youtube content creator. Despite my faith, I'm not that good of an example as I should be or as you are. I swear like a sailor sometimes, and sometimes my thinking is too secular. Which is why I'm glad you'll be posting more, Amber. God knows youtube needs more content like yours. Maybe that was the point.

As a 26 year old I am glad I never got into that. I don't have any social media. I sae what was happening to everyone when it first came out and I was like NOPE! It is like mind control. When I was working with a lot of high schoolers 2 years ago they could even stop for a shift. Every 2 seconds they were doing thos weird dancing and stuff. I am glad you are off of it, even if it wasn't your choice.

Lately I saw that when I wanted to follow you on tik tok as well the app wouldn´t let me, now I see why. I support you as well as many catholic on social media because you help us to learn and love our faith so much more, Blessings

I think it's for the best even though it's a painful thing to let go of. I once signed up for tik tok and got a bit of culture shock and thought, "man, I'm too old for this stuff" and I deleted my account immediately. I always thought tik tok was full of nudity and immodest videos and sometimes I feel that's what the app stands for.. ungodly and worldly values... I admire your perseverance. I became Catholic five years ago. I am currently making videos about the wars between Christians and Muslims. I expect people will complain and call it racist or Islamophobic. I still want to go ahead with it. I have received warnings from Twitter, saying I could be banned.

Evangelizing in a toxic environment, such as tik tok, is difficult and it's only meant for a select few chosen by God to accomplish. I gave up all media, except for Instagram. The only reason I have Instagram is to keep family posted on my kids/family. Best thing was giving up all media, my life has been blessed beyond measure. I'm not focused on checking my phone all the time, and spending more time with my family, and church. Godbless enjoy following you.
