And for all those out there who think that's too much trouble, look @ it from the prospective of someone who is picking up the piece's of their broken airplane, if you could go back and tighten some bolt's to avoid crashing your beautiful plane would you do it, in most case's most people would say hell yes, and that's the point I'm trying to make is that checking thing's and good maintenance habits go a long way...

That is part of the engine, not an aftermarket piece.

I just picked up the same Hanger 9 Extra 260 that's in your video opener. With a DA50 Would you happen to know what size stand off is in yours. mine are 2.5 in and the prop hub doesn't clear the cowl. Any help would be appreciated.

That was an Aeroworks Extra and I don't have a clue what the standoff length was. I probably didn't know the actual dimension then either as i just keep shimming it somehow until I get it right, then I leave it alone. Aeroworks used to give us a bag of 1/4"-thick aluminum spacers that always came in handy.

@@flyingrcdotnet ok thanks. debating between a longer standoff vs adding washers. The plane has never been flown which is why this wasn't addresed by the previous owner.
