LEADIN:
Tigers, okapis, Galapagos tortoises and even a Komodo dragon have been eating special pumpkin treats ahead of Halloween.
All residents of London's ZSL zoo, the animals got an early spooky celebration.
STORYLINE:
Halloween has come early for these Sumatran tigers.
Animals at London's ZSL zoo are tasting carved pumpkins a few days before Halloween.
Sumatran tigers Zac and Crispin prefer to play with the pumpkins as balls, before chewing them apart.
Their pumpkins were scented with cinnamon and nutmeg - that's why they quite enjoy licking them too.
Fellow zoo residents Polly, Dolly and Priscilla, Galapagos tortoises, weigh just as much, if not more, as the tigers.
Aged 28, they're sisters and can live up to 150 years.
Eating the round pumpkins proves difficult at first, so they chomp through their eyes and mouths.
Komodo dragon Kahleesi is not on a vegetarian diet.
Usually, the species eats reptiles, birds, eggs and mammals.
It's the largest and heaviest species of lizards.
Shy at first, 1.5-metre (five-foot) long Kahleesi slowly approaches the pumpkin and eats the meat inside of it with her 60 teeth.
Okapis Oni and Eden don't like their carved pumpkin too much. Their favourite treat? Pumpkin seeds.
They have no trouble getting them with their tongues, which can reach up to 30 centimetres (12 inches).
Okapis are a relative of the giraffe.
Their long ears can point in different directions to listen for any danger.
