@@LoggerWade Have had experience with a 522 Cat with a Quadco intermittent head and they work so so but they can't take much abuse. If you are in big timber and its hardwood a big directional will smoke them and hold up much better. That big rotation bearing is the weak point and it is 15 grand not counting the down time and labor. Have never had a true hot saw like yours but I imagine they are much better. The skidders have to have roads most of the time in the terrain we work in and a dangle on a big excavator where you have a lot of rotation and reach works best for us here in the Appalachians.

Tigercat skidders are the best in my opinion...I had a 620C when I was in business...no other brand can match TIGERCAT.
Nice video
You ever watched that guy WoolBottom3 operate a Tigercat? He is CottonTop3's brother. What happened to Whitie with the coolant issue? Head gasket? Cylinder liner drop? Pitting #5/#6 liners?

Depends on your teeth and operator but yes you hit the nail on the head that disc spinning is everything
As much as I like these big machines I still don't think you can beat a skilled man on a chainsaw (only my opinion) but something about having to study where it will fall. Great video. Regards to the family. Best wishes from across the pond

All new equipment would still be good if they'll come out with delete kits like for trucks. Def is the stupidest government forced bullshit I've seen in a long time. Great vidja and tiger cat is some nice stuff

Its really odd that because of all that t4 crap our engines are burning twice as much fuel. I'm sure that's just a oversight though. I mean they would know that the emissions from production of twice as much fuel wouldn't do twice the harm now would they lol. It's all a huge scam

Ran intermitting , was nice if your cutting logs all the time , was slow cutting pulpwood , hot saw would blow it away . definitely nicer cutting log trees though
