Already hating on Tigers kid, he’s just a typical 14 year old. He’s very grounded and respectful, he just loves communicating and being around his dad! He’s as good as he is because he has the best coach and a tireless work ethic. This is supposed to be fun for all of those PGA kids, stop taking it to serious and let them enjoy themselves! Who knows if either one of them will ever be consistent enough to earn a tour card, just enjoy the moment watching their kids compete alongside their parents!

Regardless of what’s happening right now and what you think of both where these two are at. It’s just wild being able to see another “Woods” play this good. I mean he’s 14 driving greens and doing the recoil and shit. As a father myself I can only imagine how special it would be for The Big Cat.

Tiger at his peak would dominate any era. But his drive and hunger combined with his talent is a one off. Charlie is Charlie. His swing, his mannerisms are so similar to his dad’s, yes. But don’t judge him or expect him to be another tiger. He will make his own path and journey in life.

Wrong there ? He is nowhere near matching Jack Nicklaus, who has 18 majors and 19 runner ups??.. Tiger doesnt even get close to this.. Jack has class and tiger is just a real nasty person , just look how he treats women and others who dont agree with him..

@@peterbrigden2124 Wrong, no one with class is a supporter of a clown with 91 and counting felonies just so he can get a tax break. Jack is a disgrace now. Also Tiger as a whole is greater than Jack, as no one else has ever brought attention to golf wordlwide like Tiger did. He also brought athleticism to the game and bigger purses. There are people today who do not know who Jack even is especially younger ones, but everyone knows Tiger.

It will always be tough for Charlie if he becomes a tour pro, no matter what he does people will compare him to Tiger which is grossly unfair. If Charlie inherited his fathers calmness and ability to focus, he will win major championships, his swing is so identical to Rory McIlroy‘s. We can talk about it, but I think this young man might have a poster with all the records held by Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods and Sam Snead. He possibly could be a generational talent that we haven’t seen for 20+ years since tiger came out. The great news is that his father understands every nuance of fame success, and everything that goes with it, and Charlie seems to be a student in every way I wish him the best. I followed Charlie‘s father around Riviera country club when Tiger was 16 years old, I think Charlies swing is more stable more fundamentally correct and repeatable time will tell.

I was there that day too. I think he was carrying his own bag. He was really skinny and he went off #1 around 2:15, give or take. I don't remember what he shot. He got a special invite to compete. It was a beautiful sunny day in LA. I went to the beach ⛱️ later that evening and hit sand wedges into the water with all the balks I found in the woods that day. I remember watching Hale Irwin tee off on a par 3 on the front nine. Seems like yesterday.
