The area has relatively small mugger crocs that are on the menu for large tigers. So might have kept a distance due to that.

Tiger scared of camera guy, not buffalo

Buffalo is confused as to what this animal is. And tiger is either not hungry or not a great open field Hunter yet. It likes to ambush big prey.

But here this guy is trying to say that they are cowardly and they run away when they feel threatened which I don't agree with. Only if you had enough sense to understand why sometimes a tiger avoids something bigger than them.

Asian water buffaloes are much bigger than African Cape buffaloes. So a smaller Lion has less of a chance than the more powerful Tiger.
