The reason elephants actually do fear tigers is because surprise surprise they evolved alongside predators and as such evolved to fear predators. Unlike in the present there used to be a time bigger cats (American lions and the sabre toothed cats) could hunt relatives of the modern day elephants (mammoth and mastodon). Which means despite their impressive sizes they remain cautious of wild cats such as the lion or tiger. If they knew their advantages and could reason and plan ahead to the same level as humans predatory animals would be extinct

The delightful and gentle elephant let the tiger bluff charge the first time but reacted differently the second time. Dumbo eventually showed the tiger who the boss of the forest is. indian tigers are too small but siberian tiger can reach 700 pounds almost big brown grizzly bear size

Elephants have amazing memory. I can talk from personal experience. They use the same tracks all their lives and will surely remember that tiger till death

The elephant is too slow to do any real damage to a Tiger.

This is the perfect example of why a bull elephant is better suited to this kind of task. I wouldn't mind meeting this magnificent creature if ever I'm in India. For now I'll stick to riding my horses, but I definitely wouldn't mind being on the back of an elephant, the original tank of the battlefield.

It's obvious the tiger was roaring at the Human on top of the elephant. It's rare too see a tiger react like that twoards and elephant
