A game with cool doors that I remember was Super Paper Mario. Not only are there a lot of small normal-looking doors throughout the worlds on people's houses and stuff, but also there are these "dimensional doors" that exist in each level, as well as being your entrance into each world from the hub world. The Dimensional Doors all share the exact same lineart, but they vary in color, and sometimes they have cool patterns on them too.

I wish portal 2 was mentioned. The look of the different doors around the place give you an idea of how different areas feel, and that one bit where a giant vault door is opened only to reveal a wall, standard maintenance door, and wooden chair is priceless.

Idk if someone already saud this, but the magic door in Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story is very nice. It doesn't only act as a door but as a weapon. The door randomly materializes above opponents, then a bro jumps out and you have to press the corresponding button when they land. The bro then exits through another magic door and the cycle repeats until you miss a jump. I think it could go on forever actually. There's also some other doors in the game too.

Skylanders has these fancy little elemental gates. Not exactly mysterious doors but more like blockades that hide a little present. (Usually dumb hats). I just like how elemental each one looks. We got doors made of water geysers, gears, tornadoes, crystals, fire, vines, sparkly purple clouds, etc.

Now do a ''Tierlisting Games Based on Their Wheels'' we'll see if there's more doors than weels...

I have to say the binding of isaac: repentance doesnt really have a lot to their doors, but there are a TON of them in the game and each of them represents what type of room you are going to, golden doors with crowns are treasure rooms, doors with a coin on them are shops, doors with a skull and a semi arch are boss rooms and there are many more door designs, my favourite is the blue womb door to hush, but yeah the doors in this are kinda simplistic so i would put it in the pretty cool doors👍 category

the entire skylanders franchise has some very unique doors that can only be opened by a special character which makes the doors have cool designs

TF2 has some pretty neat doors. The ones in spawn can be very cool sometimes, and there are lots of hidden doors around the map. I would give it a pretty cool doors (ding sound effect) tier.

This guy analyzing and judging video games based on doors and their mechanics honestly reminds me of the guy that kept pausing the hunger games just so he could identify plants Also I love airlock doors and elevator doors I also love the futuristic sliding doors in Steven Universe especially the shape of them they scratch the door receptors in my brain in just the right way

Your transitions are legendary! Especially the one transition into God of War, and the other one into Skyrim. Also, I really respect your commitment to every video you make! doors are honestly one of the greatest things that have ever been created into this world. - they can protect your stuff well with the lock dlc - they look cool - they give you privacy - they let you know that a place is a room - its just good in general Doors are amazing.

all the doors from valve games are legendary because they can ether break you in half, send you flying to another dimension or give you a shitload of health

I think the bio shock series has some really nice doors. They slide up in the first and second one and they have different designs based on the level, but they’re very cool mechanically and also look nice.

The most gameplay-related door award would probably go to Fnaf 1 with the Office Doors since without Them functioning You're pretty much dead.

each time i find a door from omori, it fills me with an extreme incomprehensible desire. I feel intrigued, yet on guard, as whatever may be hiding behind that door shall be life changing. 9.7/10.

I fully agree, but in terms of actual door, the doors are meh tier. Variance is low, design is simple for the most part. It is usually what lies behind the doors that makes them worth. Good suggestion though!

Elden Ring has incredibly beautiful gothic doors that are super detailed, the scenery and castle structures are also insanely detailed. Everytime you find a new place to explore looking at the walls of these gigantic structures makes good for some beautiful eye candy

Any FromSoft game has that *one door.* The door behind the lordvessel to get to the kiln of the first flame, the cathedral door in bloodborne, the golem door in vendricks castle in ds2, ds3 has too many cool doors to count, sekiro has the secret ninja doors and literally the whole point of elden ring is to get through the coolest door they've ever made.

Persona 3 was pretty cool. Throughout the different versions of the game there were countless doors. The protagonist even had to turn himself into a door to save the world. It was awesome.

To be fair, the FNaF 2 trailer _did_ say "and no doors anywhere"

I would say Portal 2 has some pretty good doors. My favorite is the absolutely MASSIVE hulking vault door in the old facility. When you finally activate the mechanism that moves it out of the way, it reveals behind it.... a solid wall. With a small, regular door. Best comedic door, 10/10

My favorite door is probably the rounded metal "high tech" door from fallout 4, The one in old prewar skyscrapers. I like slidy bits and the chrome :)

Yeah i honeslty should've put fallout 4 in legendary doors, might move it there in the sequel video. Ive been playing more of the game recently (still going through my first playthrough) and I've been finding even more really cool ones.

Someone needs to make an edit of this video, where every time you say "door" (even in stuff like doorknob or trapdoor), the vine boom sound effect plays

Some guy actually managed to explain fnaf doors in a way that makes perfect sense

Warthunder, I’d like to point out the incredible attention to detail in the escape hatch’s/doors found in almost every aircraft in the game. They function really well and look good doing so, I’ve seen it quite a lot so I consider myself somewhat of an expert in these ejection doors.

I really adoored this video. I was very doored before I came across this, and it instantly cured my doordom. I was very entranced by the amount of beautiful doors you had on doorsplay.

Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door is all about building up to opening one single really big door, with a few other good doors sprinkled in along the way as an amuse-bouche to whet your appetite for the Really Good Door at the end. You only get to open it once but it's very fancy.

Everhood has a ton of great doors, each with their own personality (literally). If you do a sequel to this I'd love if it was included

Well since you asked about games with more unique doors here you go: * If you liked Teeth based doors then check out Agony or Scorn * Contra: It has "doors that do something" and despite it been retro or a classic it still holds up to today's standards

What visual mods do you use for skyrim?

I recommend the doors of Everhood. Midnight Town door is a very mysterious door because we don't know how they could have made through such a wobbly door.

8:14 reminds me a lot of the doors collab animation hosted by Hyun. It was a Phenomenal Animation and I recommend watching it according to the trailer, it has 300+ Animators 450+ Parts which would put it as the greatest and possibly the biggest stickman collab animation there is and its all about doors. There was some sort of message(I think) behind the animation, I don't really remember it much since it was on the comments which I read. I don't know what happened in the Animation but there are some who reposted it If you are interested, there are other parts for Doors Collab Animation

Outer Wilds has absolutely fantastic doors. Many are just open, but there's also a hatch, a few recursive spaces, and a ton of doors whose very mode of operation is part of the lore.

damn i immediately thought of outer wilds as well SPOILERS AHEAD, DO NOT READ unless you've played outer wilds especially love the sun station emergency hatch, brittle hollow's escape pod hatch, the probe tracking modules airlock with the search playing when you enter it, not really a door but in echoes of the eye when you first drop in to the stranger on the raft and finally the sealed vault door also in eote honorable mentions: also the big stone doors in the sunless city have a good sound design and then the shrine door on the quantum moon when opening to the sixth location i even probably missed some doors

@@Zixye there are enough good doors in Outer Wilds that I considered making a list like this, but I'm bad at remembering lists of things fitting some criteria, so I didn't bother. Thank you for this! There are many good ones in here. As proof that you at least missed some, the broken doors you don't go through are also used fantastically for leading the player around.

There are 2 particular doors in Warframe that I really like, those being the giant circular doors on the Kuva Fortress and Lua, excellent looking doors with satisfying opening animations
