In Sims 3, if you click on someone who has the Evil trait, then on any bathtub, it will say "Take Evil Bath." This is exactly the same as a normal bath.

Same can be said about every action, they just used the word "Evil" Even in The Sims 4, when someone is angry, then click on the toilet, it will say "Take an Angry poop" despite it's sims can only pee.

Fun fact: Arkham City did the "Press F to Pay Respect" first.

In MGS3 you have to remove the bullet then disinfect and bandage the wound, so the tip has a purpose.

About number 6: Some companies actually require all employees to wear hairnets for kitchen staff or lab workers. This is to prevent confusion about if someone really needs it or not, for instance if they are bald like 47.

The water gun in dead rising 2 actually has a use, and its that its more effective against the helicopter boss fight than any other weapon, it can also snap survivors out of a dazed state in dead rising 1

Isn't it the ping pong ball launcher thingy thats actually good against the Helicopter? Cause its shots are treated like objects, completely bypassing the need to gather and throw things.

If your fish die enough times in Mass Effect EDI will suggest an automatic feeder. Afterwards they won't die anymore.

Uh, Did not even know that I always had Kelly look after them in ME 2 and then in 3 I believe you can simply buy the auto-feeder in one of the citadel shops.

For Vanquish, cigarette thing actually had other use than looking cool. Robots there track heat, so throwing cigarette would actually create slight distraction, as robots look at the heat source. Also in original Metal Gear Solid you could smoke to reveal lasers, which was also pretty useless, because you got thermal googles early enough to not really need to smoke and thermal goggles were way better for that. Also for funny tips, UbiSoft actually "borrowed" theirs from World of Warcraft, where you had same tip on loading screen well before UbiSoft put it there. Dunno if WoW was original source of it. Also about Metal Gear one, I think it had purpose, since if I remember correctly, wasn't that the game where you had to dig bullet out and disinfect the wound? Like only Kojima could make that work and be good. :-D Also that F to pay respect one, I always imagined there being one developer who mad it and is like "I tried" while looking like that sad cat giving everyone thumb up for the jokes... :-D But yeah, it was time when developers wanted to make cinematics more engaging by having you hit QTEs. Problem only way that now instead of just relaxing and enjoying cinematic or it being emotional, you were constantly at ready to hit QTEs, since some games even made them timed, so I was very happy for that to be gone. Like let me just get invested in what is happening. Also it didn't help that by default some of them contained keys pretty far from where you usually have hands, like they expect you to have third hand.... though some console ports didn't need QTEs, some just had gameplay controls like you need three hands. And that was reason why I bought gamepad... got tired of having to change them and figuring out what will work for me.

I love the B button in re5 and re6 its so annoying but the others get so annoyed at you and its just my fav thing ever like i was play as piers in re6 and i pressed it and chris goes "I HEARD YOU THE FIRST TIME"

that last feature always cracks me up, reminds me of my dad, who always reminds me when i get into a fight: "Dont die, eh?"

I feel like no list of useless tips from the developers would be complete without the “middle control stick” from Arkham Asylum.

The dumbest thing in ssb is the fact that one of Luigi’s taunts (the kick one) actually damages opponents, but it’s super hard to hit and only does about 5 damage

It kicks opponents holding on to a ledge off of it and straight down so if you can pull it off, you can get early KO's (also a couple other characters taunts do damage too)

Theres a funny thing in minecraft storymode S2 ep.1. When looking around before going to the mine you can interact with a pressure plate. When stepping on it, a piston moves up and hits you. You can do this for a few more times before it just stops you from doing it again. That has to be my favorite part about ep.1

LM3 has 3 buttons, not 1. down, left, and right on the d-pad. Each of the aims him to the direction for if luigi was aiming towards down.

The Scrolls of Icarian Flight. They give you +1000 to acrobatics for 7 seconds. You can jump across the map but the fall damage will kill you. They actually have a few good uses and there are ways to survive the fall.
