You’re entitled to your opinion, there’s no doubt Benoit had some major moments in some people’s lives before the tragedy. It’s okay to have a good memory of that moment, you’re not immortalizing a murderer, you’re just thinking back to something that, at the time, made you happy.

The opening 5 minutes and the last 5 minutes I have no issue with, but everything in-between I just find as dull as dishwater. Totally get that going 60 minutes they need rest holds etc, but even the normal action didn't grip me. Its Bret and Shawn so obviously it's going to be technically well done, but for me that doesn't automatically mean it's either interesting or exciting.

Angle Vs. Lesnar from WrestleMania 19 deserved to be in 'The Best' category. Both guys risked their lives (Angle urgently needed neck surgery, Lesnar nearly killed himself with the shooting star) and they still put on a five star classic. Downgrading it because Angle was hurt and Brock botched the spot is really unfair, especially when Angle was initially going to just drop the belt on SmackDown in 30 seconds because of his neck issues but didn't want to disappoint the fans.

I’ve often thought that in sporting terms, Bret/Shawn is like an exciting nil-nil draw that watching live might be a decent match because there’s still tension as you don’t know what’s going to happen but with no goals it has absolutely no replay value.

I agree with the boneyard match it was late at night I watched it I had fun being a huge taker fan since I was young seeing him like I remember kicking ass taking names and burying people in the ground. I agree with this tier list for the most part. As well as I’m one of few who likes the Batista triple h mania 21 match as I’ve seen on KZread.

Wrestlemania 18's booking remains one of my biggest what ifs. With most of the top guys healthy they could have done something amazing. Should have unified the titles as the main event after a tourament. So many possible dream matches 8 legends. Taker, Hogan, Flair, HHH, Angle, Jericho, Rock, and Austin. Hell could have even added Kane, Benoit, Booker T, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash(likely job due to injury?), DDP, Big Show (who was completely left off the card while healthy lol) and the 16th would be further fantasy booked by including one of either Macho Man, Goldberg, Ultimate Warrior, Sting, Mick Foley, Bret Hart, Shawn Micheals and yes even Viscious Pyscho Sid Justice. Hell, Lesnar debuted the next night, he could have been in the tourny too.

17 vs 26, Rock vs Austin II against undertaker vs Shawn Michael's, Hell freezing over against Streak vs Carrier. In terms of wrestling, 26 gets the edge. In terms of after shock value 17 gets the edge. Builds were about equal considering Austin was making his way back to the top, vs Michael's seeking redemption for his loss the previous year. Though the fact that the build for 17 started after Survivor Series 1999, wonky as it was. I think 17 deserves its spot at the top. But frankly you could put either in the top spot

Shawn Michaels main evented mania 5 times. He had the best match on the card arguably 8 different times. Even the more forgettable matches like Tatanka at 9, Diesel at 11, Jericho at 19, and Vince at 22 were all terrific. The guy truly is Mr. Wrestlemania.

Taker v Michaels is for sure one of the best matches to end a ppv ever and it's my personal favorite match of all time. And I agree the Boneyard Match gave us a fun weird display but it did take the scares away for a while.

I've read tons of analysis, analyses(?) of the Benoit tragedy...compared to the tragedy of Miss Elizabeth and Lex Luger, both are terrible and could have been prevented. I have no issue with wanting to not acknowledge Benoit, but we should talk more about Chris Nowinski's attempt to help wrestlers get them the healthcare they deserve

Even in the US, Lawrence Taylor's impact in 1995 was probably a little overblown -- and I say that as an American and a big NFL fan. He is an NFL legend and one of the greatest of all time, but had been retired for a full year and hadn't made a Pro Bowl or been selected All Pro since 1990. Also, the United States is a huge country. In his absolute prime, he might have had some coast to coast appeal. But I don't think people outside of the Northeast would have really cared that much about LT in spring of 1995.

I'll be that guy: #1 Taker v Michaels #2 Benoit v Michaels v HHH #3 Austin v Rock It is impossible to not think of the final acts of Benoits life when watching any of his matches but from a pure build & in ring point of view it was one of the greatest WM matches ever. Still a good decision to leave it out of the ranking 8n my opinion. Much praise to Gary KZread and Gary KZread for this one.

Disagree on what Tom said about the WM25 Mainer. Sure, in hindsight, Taker vs. Michaels should've probably gone last, but at the time, Hunter vs. Orton was the right call. Taker/Michaels had a decent build after the clunky start to the program, but Hunter/Orton had the big moments in their feud that made you want to see the big showdown. I mean, unhinged Orton punting Shane and Vince, RKO and kiss to Stephanie in front of Hunters eyes, the home invasion, that was some great stuff. Of course, they f'd it up with that stupid stipulation and Taker and Michaels tore the house down, but at the time, their story deserved that Main Event spot IMO.
