Guest Friends Play He seems to be the first and only one to make the switch to face the champion on the other brand too. It’s ironic since the rule seems to still apply today yet he’s the only one that did that. Orton might’ve done it in 2009 but I’m not sure. Orton did fail to win the title at WM though which makes Benoit the only one to make the switch and beat the champion. His rumble performance could arguably be the best one too. He went coast to coast from the number 1 spot and outlasted everyone while there was no controversy with his feet touching the floor like HBK in 1995. He broke the record for longest time in a single rumble at the time. He had the most eliminations in that rumble too. His win wasn’t as expected like Rey’s in 2006, not saying that Rey’s win sucked or anything.

Austin had to be the top, yeah. In addition to being the only 3 time winner; he won the best Royal Rumble, which then lead to the main event of the best Wrestlemania. Depending how Mania 35 pans out, though, I imagine a rehash of this list will see Seth get a decent spot on such a list, and Becky... probably in the top 10, because of overcoming a loss earlier in the night, a leg injury, and just being impossibly over the whole time.

To be fair to The Rock (and because he's my favorite wrestler ever) , he was actually kinda suppose to win the Rumble anyway. It was obvious that they were building up his feud with Triple H at the time and he was the hottest Babyface in the company at the time. But the way he won it seemed pretty controversial so WWE had no choice but to book this into a storyline.
