Tie TV - Articulated Sculpin - Daniel Bergman
Спорт
In this episode of Tie TV, Daniel Bergman shows us how to tie an articulated sculpin fly - a really cool pattern that definitely will draw a lot of attention both from the fish you are targeting and from other anglers. It works great for all species that has sculpin on their menu, but is tied to fit the trout fishing in small streams.

Great pattern! I learned several new tying techniques from the video that I'll incorporate into my patterns. This sculpin will fish well on Lake Erie and it's tributaries. Smallmouth love sculpins. Keep it wet
Hi Daniel, that's a great looking pattern. I'm a terminal Cancer patient who has just recently begun fishing rivers for trophy trout. I have had some succes but would love to try out your pattern here in Ireland. My fishing is my therapy. I am a great fan of the channel and am always delighted when a new video comes up. Thanks for the inspiration. Keep em coming and right lines
I should win this fly because Sculpins are my favorite patterns and I believe I could catch a record size fish with it. I watch all your videos and am a huge fan. All the best, Sean
Great video! I'll be doing some streamer fishing with my father and brother next weekend in Northern Washington State, in the US. Tying gives me a relaxing time each day, which I need with two young boys (1&3) running around. Keep up the fantastic videos!
You guys make the fly tiring look very easy. That's big for a trout fly but then again you do have some giant trout there.
Incredible tying Daniel. Many thanks!

vic fitzwalter Thanx man!
Excelent work Daniel. Love the tie and your videos fishing for big browns. Help me catch a big portuguese brown trout by sending the fly ;) You already helped by sharing this pattern that I'll end up tying in the future once I have all the materials, but it would be better to fish the original pattern tied by its creator ;) All the best.
Hi Daniel, Great looking fly. Love to give it a go but in Australia we don't really have access to the materials that European countries do. Would love to to fish your fly on the Goulburn river in Victoria. Great video and thanks for the pattern XD
I wanna start tying pike flies and probably am goin to pick up some stuff at "SNB pike experience this sunday, this thing looks sick for pike to!

this fly wont last long, if you catch pike, because of marabou
Verry nice fly. I would like have it to try on my river in belgium where there is verry big brown trout( the vesdre in Verviers)
Change the colors around a bit and you have a pretty good croaker pattern. Probably be deadly on bull reds
The Decadent Sculpin......so lovely. $25 in marabou :)
very cool pattern. I'm curious which vise that is? Don't believe I'm familiar with it but it looks interesting.
it will also works for perch and zender !! for the biggest ones...:))

I've fished it for perch and I have to say that you are right!
jag fiskar på några ställen där det finns mycket stor öring så det vore kul och testa med en ny slags fluga!
Är det först till kvarn som gäller för att vinna flugan :)
i would like to try them for zander
Looks quite good! But sadly almost as big as our trouts. If I win this, I'll give it a chance anyways. Maybe there are hiding some huge ones too
vem vann? om de ej e klart så! ja e 13 år och brinner för flugfiske så de skulle va grymt att vinna. trevlig kväll 🌃

okej tack för svaret 😊
How heavy of a rod do you use for these?

43RattleSnake 8 weights if I mainly fish heavy Sculpins and need long reach. Other vice a 6 or 7-weight will do if it's mainly precision/spot fishing.

Where did you buy the holographic long hair chanille?? I´d like to tie this sculpin, but I have no idea where is it possible to buy this chanille....

Just look for "Polar Chenille." It's UV and can be found in all kinds of colors. Different brands will have different length fibers, but judging from the video, he's using a polar chennille (at least that's what it's called in the US)
Change the colors around a bit and you have a pretty good croaker pattern. Probably be deadly on bull reds
