    You're right. Many companies I've sold for teach tie downs that come across as sleazy sales tactics. And you really have to present them just right to not be seen that way.

    9:12 I have come to the conclusion that it does not matter what you say. All that matters is context. "Hey you know what your roof is about 18 years old" - Yes "And I recognize we're kind of on this fringe in terms of..damage uh.." - Yes tell me more "There's a chance that it could get approve theres a chance it doesn't" - scarcity Robert Cialdini - DISARMED "Best case scenario you get a brand new roof" - yes, the icing on the cake "Which you're going to need anyway" - YES, reinforcement "And its gonna save you from coming out of pocket(yes) to pay for the whole thing yourself(yes)" "So we could use this as an opportunity" - Yes, I like opportunities, its bells to my ears. "To turn a bad situation into a favorable outcome" - Yes "Meaning you get a brand new roof" - I'm listening "Brand new warranty" - yes, framing "Brand new colors" - yes, framing "We can upgrade the look of the home" - yes "So when you drive into the driveway and you look up" - yes, FRAMING END REVEAL "Oh I love it" - SOLD, They took ownership of their own problem. Don't screw with me, tie downs have absolutely nothing to do with how you were successful in getting the customer conned. It's like trying to spin thoughts of idea into my head that clothes hangers are the BEST THING you will ever need for de-nutting nuts from chocolates whatever you need it for. whatever.
