The V6 in this car is balanced and lightened, and revs so sweetly, not like my injection special!

Hi, no not one I've ever seen and I've been a Capri owner for over 22 years. You could order factory modified cars direct from the dealer back then, oh how things have changed! Sounds like it was possibly a Series X factory car, very rare these days. Not sure where the white leather came from, that was never offered by Ford? You could even order one of these Tickfords from a Ford RS dealer, or direct from Tickford.

It really sticks in my throat to say it,but the Aston-Capri is quite ugly. The 2.8 Brooklands looked way nicer.I know i'll probably get some hate for that statement, but it's all down to personal preference

It's very much a marmite car. I always loved the bespoke hand built feel of it, but the body kit was of its time and just had to accept it. I sold this car around two and a half years ago now, miss it.

Agreed. It's very passe looking now- bodykit's are so 80's and dated. The Tickford wasn't a well engineered car. The turbo installation is a complete mess and results in considerable turbo lag. The rear suspension axle location is a Heath-Robinson cock up. In order to locate the rear axle effectively, it's necessary to brace the axle by linking it to the chassis- ie using a Watt's linkage, or a panhard rod. Tickford simply braced the axle to the springs- so in effect, the springs are being stressed with addition lateral load. It's not a good engineering solution. Quite a few Tickford's have burnt out over the years due to the messy turbo installation. It's a sow's ear. Sorry, but there it is!

Hate to tell you but that is not a Tickford Capri. Wrong steering wheel (Should be a momo) wrong back end (Should have round tail lights and round indicator lights, the did not have "Tickford" stickers, only a stainless steel plate on the chassis with "Tickford" engraved on them, no back seat. A lot of standard & some turbo capri's were made to try to look like the "Tickford" "clubsprints" but only 400 were made (200 in 1992, 100 in 1993 & 100 in 1994) I have a 1992 model & have had it for over 15 years now having completely rebuilt the motor & all running gear. Probably less than 100 still in road worthy condition now. Mine is just about to get another complete strip down & rebuild.
