Walk with me thru a Storm as people try and stay dry. Very busy party atmosphere downtown and everyone is sociable but when midnight comes its survival of the fittest. The weather is still quite cold, so a lot of folks seek Shelter off the streets on nights like this.
In the heart of **Los Angeles**, there exists a place known as **Skid Row**, a neighborhood that grapples with a complex web of challenges. Let me shed some light on this area:
**Drug Epidemic**:
- Skid Row has become a **haven for addiction**. Residents describe it as a "Disneyland for addicts." Various drugs are prevalent:

They are offered help all the time…they don’t take the help because you have to give up drugs and alcohol and have a curfew….most are homeless because of mental illness and drug abuse….follow any of them around for 24 hours and you will see exactly why they are in this situation

Why doesn’t the government setup something similar to refugee camps where homeless people can be moved to? Homelessness is a humanitarian crisis and needs to be treated as such. Refugee camps in war torn countries can be setup quickly that provide shelters for hundreds of thousands and even millions of people in the case of Gaza. We spend billions of dollars to aid refugees in other countries. Why can’t we do this at home in the United States of America?

At $600,000 per apartment, the residents get a cafe, exercise room with sauna, and private balconies overlooking the streets full of tents that house their friends.

Before one of our 'great' politicians can either run for office or get reelected to office, they should be required to live on Skid Row for 6 months to a year with NO retirement funds, NO security, NO weapons, NO health insurance, and NO help whatsoever. Most wouldn't last a day. Would be interesting to see if their tunes would change quickly if that were to happen.

This is a war zone. Spiritually speaking, this needs a lot of love, compassion and logistical intelligence. When church attendance is at an all time low in this country, it's no wonder so many are looking the other way when so many are loosing the battle of life. This is a deterioration of the fabric of our country. Blaming people who are sick and needy doesn't solve problems. They may be sick and needy on the out side, but the people in charge are sick and needy on the inside. Jesus Christ is always the answer. Between the city and state, the money is there to move them to a large piece of land. If for no other reason to get them off city streets. Where are all the local businesses who always preach about giving back to the community? Where the hell have they been? Hardware stores, retail and grocery stores, the walmarts of the world... imagine how much they could help with donations. I guess the argument is that if we always give them supplies they will never do better, they will just take and stay homeless... well guess what? I’m 70 and have benefited greatly from center left govts in several countries and states. In uk, many blame similar homelessness on right leaning Econ policies starting with Thatcher 1980. GOP might reduce us homelessness by accelerating the death of much of the population.

Why feel sorry for them? They are living rent-free in one of the most famous cities in the world.

They have to ship these ppl to another state where they can afford to live if there no Fentynal eventually they will have to drink again.no one lives in north Dakota .
