I hate it for chasing Captain Hook. Captain Hook and smee is an iconic duo. The dumb crocodile ruins it

Tic-Toc Croc: The only reason why I wasn't in the sequel was I had to get that clock out of my gut because it was giving me indigestion!

Tic toc croc:The doctor said I needed the clock removed, so I had to be off film for a while..

The tick tock always made me anxious for some reason

I honestly dont know why they changed it.. But the Octopus was a bit more tempered in the sequel than the croc as when smee told him to shoo like the croc in the first movie, the croc simply moved away, but the octopus had sprayed him with water. Also pointing to the fact that its the size of a damn kraken....

Possibly it was a matter of sequel escalation. The croc was cooler, but he was only a menace to Hook. The octopus is less cool, but he sinks the whole ship, presumably forever, and chases the whole crew away.

If you count hook as Cannon then he easily just killed him he has a bunch pirates that could easily shoot the crocodile

Perhaps they thought that the crocodile wasn't really practical since most crocs aren't usually saltwater dwellers as well as the possible reference to the mythological Kraken and the common pirate sightings of octopuses near ships. But that is... If the kids will really notice, let alone care about that stuff and that the interpretation of the 'kraken' is usually depicted as a squid, not a octopus... Well that's the best exclamation I can come up with anyway...

HOOK is Great!

Don't forget, the crocodile returns in Jake and the Neverland Pirates, i liked him a lot more in that show than in the movie!

Great, funny, and very informative video relating the history of the Tic Toc Croc of the Peter Pan franchise. I think choosing the octopus was the result of ignorant, adolescent-minded writers who did not respect the original Peter Pan Canon, and mistakenly thought the audience would like a new creature, which they soon realized was a big mistake from critics and public alike. Intelligent adults understand that a huge crocodile is far more dangerous to humans than any known octopus, of which there is no record of one EVER preying on a human. Realistically speaking, a crocodile large enough to swallow a person whole would be incredibly dangerous in the 17th century tech world of CPT Hook. Musket balls are reported in real life historical journals to bounce off the bone studded backs of much smaller crocodilians than this. Even in our 21st century a world of high powered rifles, a similarly enormous crocodile in Africa known as Gustave is reported to have eaten over 250 people and still hasn't been stopped (Wikipedia). It seems even intelligent enough to retreat into a protected wildlife preserve when not actively hunting humans, and destroyed the cage of scientists that attempted to capture him.. At the turn of the 20th century when Peter Pan was written, crocodiles were the deadliest, most terrifying non-mythical animal in the world, still eating literally tens of thousands of people in primitive countries like Africa every year, just as they had been doing for hundreds of thousands of years.

Wow, that was almost as disappointing as when King Louie only appeared as a recap shadow puppet at the beginning of Jungle Book 2, hate it when they don't fully get to know characters. Hehe

10:23 because I read a story once of how hook tricked the tick tock crock into swallowing a bomb similar to what he tried to do to Peter pan with the present from Wendy and he managed to kill him. Also there most likely won't be another sequel to Peter Pan or return to neverland because hook and his crew allegedly died when they got eaten by the octopus after there ship sunk at the end of return to neverland and all they had was a row boat full of food (hook and his crew) for the octopus which he saw at the end and got really excited lol.

Discovered your video, I'm guessing the main reason they switched the Crocodile with an Octopus because Tick-Tock is just not as threatening as an octopus? Octopi being capable of actually climbing onto a ship, as well as compressing itself. Also, Octopi are much more intelligent. Perhaps Disney thought (a little too late) an Octopus would've been a more appropriate pursuer? Also, it could just make Captain Hook look tastier to aquatic life (a crocodile isn't the only one who likes the taste of him), as well as pathetic.

Idk m8, The Saltwater crocodile is a lot scarier and viscous than a giant Pacific octopus...

You know, Jerry Lewis singing Never Smile at a Crocodile kinda sounds like Billy West doing his Stimpy voice. Maybe that schmuck Krisfalusi thought that up while making Ren and Stimpy.

I truly admire Tick-Tock Croc's persistence, as the apex predator of Neverland, to get Captain Hook into his mouth as soon as possible after getting a mere taste from his hand. I wouldn't blame that reptile as I would also want to get something in my mouth again if it tastes very delicious.

Thanks for making this video. I liked it very much. Something I want to ask is why is Tick Tock the Crocodile considered a villian in the Disney franchise? In past media and recent media, he appears alongside the Disney Villains. To me that makes no sense because Tick Tock seems more of an anti hero or an anti villain but if not, can someone explain to what makes Tick Tock a villian and if he is a villian? Yeah, I know he's a crocodile (like an actual crocodile in real life) who eats anything who that gets close to the water including Peter Pan at times but then again, Tick Tock does have some friendly interactions with Peter Pan which I am finding confusing.

@@JeffreyKitsch although in the original book this Skull Rock scene is not how Disney shows it, in fact the crocodile does not get to do all that we see there, because as soon as he feels it the captain leaves he says in the book, I don't know why Disney misrepresents the facts, even in the two books, the captain never gets his pants down
