Kit would have won a lot more had it not been for his bad luck with the dragon.

1st was Thom McKee, 2nd (at this time) Wilbur Hicks, 3rd Brian Donovan, 4th Gary Meters, 5th Mark Leinwand, 6th Pieter DeVries, 7th John Welsh, 8th Doc Fass, 9th Allen Lichtman, and 10th Kit Salisbury

Kit Salisbury also appeared on "Jeopardy!" back in 1999. He won $12,200 on "Jeopardy!" after playing 2 games.

I wouldn't have taken the jump in for the win. If Nell got the jump in not only does Kit not win but Nell gets the block. I would've taken Potluck Pix in box #4. Get that and you have two chances to win and Nell can only block one on the next turn and can't win this game. Take a Letter in #7 is worthless as it doesn't give you an extra chance to win. One Word Names in #6 would give you an extra chance to win but if Nell gets #1 and #4 she can win with #7.

Well, *if* he had taken Potluck Pix and *if* he had answered correctly, and *if* Nell had been able to block one of the boxes on her next turn, the shuffle might have put the Jump-In in the other box that would have given him the win, in which case he’d be in the same boat, if not slightly worse off. What’s that saying about a bird in the hand?

gtb2009b i was a kid when it aired and I knew most answers. I think they try to appeal to all ages on this show.

Yes. No contestant broke the $100K mark to my knowledge the rest of Wink's final season - and definitely not during Caldwell's short run.

While Kit's run is impressive, Thom McKee held the record with 43 wins and $312K in winnings.

You can't forget to mention Erik Kraepelien, he defeated Thom McKee and went on to have an impressive run himself!

@@kristindell267 But it was McKee who held on to the all-time winnings record until Michael Shutterly eclipsed him ($500,000 on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire in 1999 was good enough).

I don’t really care for the bonus category. If the champion gets the first 2 right, he or she can immediately win the game with one more correct answer and the challenger won’t even get a chance to play.

If the champ gets two right, the challenger still has a chance to block with their next turn

If the challenger didn't get a chance to play because of this, he or she would be invited back to play again after the Bonus Game.

You can argue Nell's first question was also a 2 parter and it was unfair because not only did she not get the center but didn't get the extra time (of course it was an easy question and she got it).
