Tianjin Niutuozi open-air Market: A vibrant hub of fresh produce and diverse street food
Niutuozi Market is located in Xiqing District, Tianjin. It is a very young rural market. It was originally set up specifically to help economically disadvantaged villages. After more than 20 years of publicity and development, it has become the most popular market in Tianjin. One of the lively and most popular rural fairs, every Lunar New Year, this place will be crowded with people coming from the city and nearby towns to go to the market. In addition to fresh fruits and vegetables and a variety of seasonal seafood, there are also some traditional Tianjin snacks here, including Duliu Town’s intangible cultural heritage delicacy mung bean tide cake, soft, glutinous and salty hot black beans, all freshly baked and sold. Sticky cakes, Tianjin fried cakes bought in long queues, mixed cold dough for 7 yuan for two portions, novel and interesting multi-grain spring rolls, there is a dazzling array of items to name a few.
