Tia Kofi celebrates the camp queer history of Eurovision 🇬🇧 - BBC

Ойын-сауық

Tia Kofi, Queen of the Mother-Tucking World and Eurovision superfan joins us for a camp celebration of Eurovision’s iconic past. Get ready for the ultimate Eurovision pre-party filled with vibrant history and undeniable flair as Tia talks us through what Eurovision means to her and it’s profound significance to millions of others.
As Olly Alexander flies the flag for the United Kingdom with his song Dizzy at the 68th Eurovision Song Contest, twenty-six incredible acts perform in a bid for the most points, but only one will be crowned the new Eurovision champion. As the nation collectively crosses its fingers for Olly, the show promises spectacular performances ahead of the world-famous, nail-biting results sequence as the all-important points are called out. Following Loreen’s victory in Liverpool last May, seven-time winner Sweden takes over as host of the much-loved competition. This year also marks the 50th anniversary of ABBA giving Sweden their first iconic win with Waterloo.

I’m just annoyed that she said Usivision when Ourivision was right there.

I accept people from the LGBTQ+ Community. I don't judge people based on their sexuality, I base it on their character how they act as a person in general. If they're sweet, kind hearted, generous, loving and caring people and would never hurt anyone in anyway, I'll love, care for, and respect them back. If they're mean spirited, selfish, cold hearted people that would hurt anyone in anyway then I don't care to associate with them. Sexuality doesn't define a person, they're actions and how they treat people do. Nobody has to agree with me. Hopefully a vast majority of people understand where I'm coming from. Homophobia has no place on this planet and never has and never will. God bless the world.

The BBC once again using the ‘q’ word like it isn’t deeply offensive to many gay people, myself included! What wrong with the word ‘gay’?

@@luennii good for you, but it offends me and many other people. The BBC’s own guidelines says it shouldn’t be used!
