this video helps explain Louis Leon Thurstone's multiple-factor theory of intelligence. 7 primary mental abilities as per Thurstone are:
1) Numerical ability
2) Verbal reasoning
3) Space - visual reasoning
4) Memory
5) Word fluency
6) Inductive reasoning and
7) Perceptual speed
He later on added 2 more mental abilities:
1) Deductive reasoning
2) Problem solving

    ummm......sir actually uni/one factor theory was by alferd binet and charles spearmen's theory was two factor theory which had g-factor [general like speaking ] and s-factor [specific like singing ]

    Hi Shilpa, It (deductive reasoning) did not come out as a very significant & distinct mental ability in his research. So Louis Thurstone did not include "deductive reasoning" in his framework. Though later, other researchers have included it in mental abilities. hope it helps. Anand
