Ooh I love your Nome dress! The fabric is so beautiful 😍 your Tie dress looks fabulous! I agree, you’d easily get away with apsides 12. I think the contract works. Maybe add the cuffs or patch pockets in the blue so it looks balanced and intentional. Definitely not a fail!

Thank you Julie, I've had it in my fabric "collection' for some time, so really glad I found something nice to make with it! Definitely going to size down the tie dress, just got to find some more fabric I own to use 😂 Thanks re cardigan, I might just do that with the cuffs 😀.

The tie dress turned out so well! Loved it. I think for your cardi, a black or another grey would work better than the blue. The grey dulls the lovely blue and it’ll make it less versatile too. In all grey or grey and black it will look more sophisticated and will go with more colours.

Hi Mandy! You can absolutely get away with the blue! I think it looks intentional! 💙 if you really weren’t sure, could you make the cardigan shorter? Would you have enough for the neckband then? Hi Rachael 😀 The neckband piece is quite long, so don't think I could make it shorter, but I am thinking of piecing some of the remnants together just to experiment, if not blue will stay! Thank you, it went ok and I didn't mute anyone in error 😂 The Fringe and Lotus top will be on my plans after I have finished my collaborations 😘

Ah your tie dress looks fab in that drapey fabric!! It’s definitely an oversized pattern though. Loads of gorgeous makes! 🥰

I think the Marni cardi looks great ❤ I have made the Sorrento Jacket once. My measurements put me in a size 16. I am five ft five and wanted it a tiny bit longer than in the pictures, but being shorter than Lisa Comfort I decided to sew it up as a size 16 with no alterations. It came out perfect as is, it finishes at the top of my hips. So I would say it is pretty much true to size. Your Nomi and your Tie Dress look lovely. Best Regards from Anna in Sweden 😊

I'm making a size 16 too, just with extra length, so it should be ok 🤞🏼 I have enjoyed making the dresses and they have both been worn a couple of times this week as weather nicer! Thanks Anna 😀

I was quite surprised how much I had made in the last couple of weeks, but the tie dress takes no time at all once cut out. Hope to see you in July at the Southern Sewcial 😀 x

Love your Nomi dress. I’ve always veered away from that one being 4ft 11” 😂 Your tie dress is gorgeous & love what you e done with the red blouse to sew up the sleeves a bit more. That’ll definitely make it more wearable now 😊

Thanks Claire - you could always shorten the middle skirt piece so that you can still have the ruffle on the bottom, or shorten both as I think it would look really nice on you. 😀 xx

Great vlog Mandy ❤ So many beautiful makes! Good luck with the VSR, you'll be great and everyone is so lovely it really doesnt matter if there's a glitch. With the Reeta dress I just used the same fabric to make a long tie to thread through as cord. I did buy some grosgrain to make the channel but bias binding would do. Sew sew Live has a brilliant sew along which helped me a lot x

Lovely makes Mandy. I like your cardi. What about adding blue cuffs ? You picked some beautiful patterns. I have Largo Cargo on my to-do list.
