The 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed presented by Mastercard kicked off on Thursday with an awesome display of the very best of motorsport and motoring. We had Alexander Albon in action in the Williams FW08 as well as F1 cars from Ferrari, Red Bull and Alpine and the stars of drift including Ryan Tuerck and James Deane.
We also had supercar debuts for the Bugatti Mistral, Porsche 911, Aston Martin Valiant, Yangwang U9 and more and the Defender OCTA, Polestar 6, Genesis GV60 Magma, BMW M5 and more.
These are the best bits of an awesome day 1.

It’s an amazing thing to see Ryan and Mad Mike keeping the fire alive for Ken’s legacy with their imagination and skill. Can’t wait for the opportunity to attend one day.

I'll never get enough of hearing a Bugatti engine. So much low-end grunt and brute force from every rev.

19:39 How can the £2.5 mil Evija X failure not be on this. They turned that thing into kindling in 1s. Exactly half it's claimed 0-60 time 🤣 . I assume Lotus took their renowned history for astonishing electronics and said yup, let's take this up a notch.

McMurtry isn't a car. F1 cars and their engine sound is the main reason i even watch these. There are some sick v10 and v12 cars as well though.
