In this bass fishing video we go out to do some spring pond hopping in search for some giant bass on bed! We end up getting caught in a thunderstorm but that doesn't stop us from catching some nice spring fish!

I got a pond in Hill Country Texas,,,,,,when the Bass spawn, the parents guard the little one's. My pond is clear so i can see whats going on,,,after the Babies get a little bigger,,,one of the parents fly into to them and try to eat them. This teaches them to be afraid of bigger Fish from then on. If you catch the bass before they scare the little one's,,,,wont the other fish eat all the Little one's ??? Would there be more Bass if you didnt catch them when spawning ??? Not complaing,, just asking

That’s a good question and I totally see what your saying. On that day though I was fishing before they actually laid the eggs down, or before the fry actually hatched, but when I do catch them I let them go back right near the bed and they always seem to find it. So there isn’t any further harm to the eggs or fry after I release them back. I don’t try to catch them when they are guarding fry though.
