Rain takes me back to when I was a kid and my sister and I would “shelter” from rainstorms. We’d get a bunch of blankets and sit under the doorframe with the lights off and some candles lit. We’d eat beef jerky and stuff like that and we’d read books to entertain us. Ah, if I could only turn back time. I hope you all have a comfortable and fruitful sleep and a beautiful day after. You stated my thoughts exactly. The short version of this video is what I listen to every night. Later if I wake up during the night, I listen to this exact video and soon afterwards, I'm asleep and resting like a baby again. Thanks for your comments. That's strangely soothing. Rain when you're inside is such a great sound, but the car offers the promise of having to leave its safety to get home.

It's amazing how sounds can transport you to a moment in time. They bring back smells, thoughts,past feelings towards individuals and physical awareness of how your body used to feel. When we lived in Portland/Corpus Christi area, the storms were like this...slept with the windows cracked so you had the live soundtrack...this is nice...

I like listening to this while I memorize lines for plays. It's calming, and good for concentrating. I play this as I rehearse, and I listen to it just before the show. It's a really excellent technique.

I would like to visit this exact place in person. It feels very comfortable and homelike. I don't know what the surroundings are like, but if they are anything like looking through this windshield, it would be my comfort zone. Thank you for this exact video. So, you folks think you need to listen to the rain? Well, I live in Death Valley, California. To say that it is dry here most of the time would be a major understatement. Yes, it does rain here, at times. Just not often enough for most of us. I love the rain, always did. To be able to "virtually" experience a rain storm on my television is greatly appreciated. Since I am an "aficionado" of rain videos, (so to speak) I must say this is one of the better ones. Many thanks to TexasHighDef for this excellent offering.

I love to go to a small park we have going out of town to feed the squirrels. But I love It even better when it’s pouring down rain and just to sit in my car, listening to it and watching it hit the windows. I love the sound of it hitting the roof. It sounds just like this. I love it when it rains. I really don't know why. Something about the fact that everything seems to stop or slow down when NYC gets blasted with rain or snow. New York is a strange place, if you are born & raised here, no other place will ever do. No matter how many times i leave here, i always find myself missing it & eventually moving back...Anyway, this is a good sleeping video, this & the one where the car is actually driving on roads in the pouring rain! (thats a 4 hr video)
