pressing down the back part to make the tank threads roll would break those axel - unless thats how Super7 designed it for us to buy another one when it breaks ha ha - forcing it to roll will just damage the rubber still for its price it should roll freely and should probably have extra rubber threads too- this thing is as long as the Hot Toys Tumbler -mine will be arriving by May - thanks for sharing

I believe what those 'gems' or 'stones' in that separate compartment are called Thundareniums ( I think I got that spelled correctly... hehe). Pantro explains this to Snarf that they are natural elements that can help fuel the Thundertank. Cool review, Todd. It's one badass beast of a vehicle!

It's actually called Thundrillium. Thundrainium is what weakens the Thundercats. Like what Kryptonite is for Superman.

This thing is AMAZING! What a dream come true. Thanks for the video. It looks like the treads just have to be worked in. I can't wait to get mine. It looks like BBTS has shipped but has anyone who pre-ordered from the Super7 website received theirs yet?

Yes, I should have made the sounds. (I was getting tired out by the end of the video before editing it was about 4 hours of taping.)

Your tag showed glowing eyes. For a second I thought they were lights, and then I see it’s some cheap reactive paint. Lol. For $500, they could have at least added some electronics and/or sound fx. You’d compare this with the recent Spinmaster Batmobile ‘89 which is a rc 1/18 scale vehicle and for $200 (which is already a lot of money) you get special smoke effects, a base with lights, electronic opening of cockpit and guns, and some music when the action figure is inserted. For $500 Super7 should have invested in something a little less dull than just plastic. Ps. I returned the Batmobile, because I realized I won’t do much with the toy other than looking at it on the shelf, and it’s poorly made, and I prefer to keep the money for a future HT or Jazzinc edition.

Some chain-linked treads would probably roll alot easier than those rubber ones. I wonder how much more trouble it would have been to make them like that?

They definitely said it would be removable. This is by far my biggest complaint with the tank, there is so much space you could put other figures in it if not for the cannon; the two figures in the front passenger seats barely fit because of how big the platform for it is. It looks like the cannon is held in with screws; I haven't tried taking mine out yet but depending how it connects it may be simple enough to just unscrew it and 3D print an alternative piece for what its supposed to look like when stowed.

Obviously very nice... but still not feeling it Especially for 400 hundred bucks (sale yesterday), let alone 500. Probably 350, i'd go for it. Maybe if it had light up eyes Or light up something. not just glow in the dark

I prefer to do my own weathering if that is what I want. When I was a kid I would weather all kinds of toys, My x-wing, a swat van (added bullet holes), my friends millennium Falcon. (My friend's dad had a fit when he saw me doing it.)

So when are you going to be making a whole new tread system for it? I know you of all people must've noticed that not only do they not roll but whole thing is far too low and that the tracks are supposed to reach to the very top on the tank like it does in the show and every other toy/media of the Thundertank. Stupid7 raised the height but never raised the tracks to match.

Not gonna lie, it looks amazing and I'm happy that you got one. But Paying almost $700 it a big NO for me, after paying >$700 for Unicron and Eternia. Super7 is going mad with their prices.

Probably about twice what it should cost. Super 7 said the gun would come out and that doesn't seem to be true and they said they were going to make treads that rolled good but how can they when the guide wheels don't move? Disappointed in the execution.

Yes, it is very expensive, smaller crowd, more niche, so we get raked over the coals.

Thanks for sharing. The only thing going for this, is the scale and nothing else. The cockpit cover is horrible. And they didn't even tried to hide those ugly piano hinges. The controls are all static, it's such a lazy design that none of them can be engaged except for the rear turret. The action feature that was so cool on the vintage is also non-existent. And it doesn't roll too! Like I said this was such a lazy and unimaginative design from Super7. That mouth is also blah, I mean if this was somewhere around $150, I'd probably do it just for the scale and nothing else.
