Skillful driving job. Magnificent horse! A great bond between the two, deserving of the win! A pleasure to watch.

I think maybe Raymond Shively helped train this horse. Mr. Shively was always so good with roadster to bike and roadster to wagon horses. I helped him out at the American Royal one time when one of his grooms called in sick. Raymond, that is. He paid me with a free ticket to that evening's show.

Not a blue ribbon sir! A champion tricolor and a blanket of roses, a World's Grand Champion tricolor ribbon at that!(In all seriousness he deserved the win, although it was a fairly weak class... It seems members of the Morgan breed are superior road horses)

Morgan_Horse Oh no! Say it isn’t so!! No breed beats the Saddlebred....in anything!!! (Except maybe the Arabian in a hot, desert race). 😂

Work on a small horse farm barn full of old cars one a model t racer and these hear two wheelers. 51 years ago

It's a more comfortable gait to ride when traveling long distances.

Gaited horses had better long term stamina and a smoother gait. These horses that snap their legs up all fancy only do it for show purposes, and back in the day it was for pride/ego
