I literally struggled with this guy. Then I just started backflipping through the first phase and parried, the second phase I stayed on the ground and grabbed a rod with magnesis and held it under him. Then for the 3rd phase I hid behind the pillar when he had his electricity powers. He wouldn’t attack me and would run out of electricity. Then I came from behind the pillar and parried him again. This was he best method for me. And I had hardly anything. Sucky weapons and everything. Hope this helps someone

This is the BEST video guide. After watching 4 other videos I wasn’t able to defeat him. This video helped so much. Other tips would be to have guardian weapons and one handed swords to make it easy to switch between shield and weapon.

I've been stuck on thunderblight for months.. I watched this video and beat him straight away (I have the mastersword which is a massive help).. it's funny how when someone says a stage is easy u do it straight away!!! Woohoo!! Thank u

this is one of the guides that really helped me, so this is what i did for anyone who is struggling. i started off just attempting 2-3 times, observing his patterns and how well my weapons do. then i spent around 5-7 days doing research, watching guides and collected weapons and arrows. then, i took him on, and was so much more prepared and got him first try without having to flurry rush AT all!!

You make this look so easy. I'll follow your tips when fighting him.

I accidentally used all my arrows during the divine beast and am now trying to figure out what to do with 1 shield, 2 food, 2 weapons and 5 hearts.

He's so Small He can't Be hard. A few seconds later. Oh ok

This is the video I needed, all the other videos is about doing the backflip which I can pull off in the first phase but in phase 3 can't get it for the life of me as he's too fast, didn't know you could break his shield and do bomb arrows

This video did help me with Thunderblight. I killed him on my first try, but only because he was my last Divine Beast so I had good stuff. I'm not sure I would have been able to do it if he was my first Divine Beast. I wasn't able to use the bomb arrows effectively, so I used my master sword and other strong weapons. If you're having trouble with the pillars, here's a tip: Once you grab one, just hold onto it, don't let it go. It won't disappear. You can just keep holding onto it until you can get it near him. I put it under him like Phil did. I also used an ancient shield to block the laser. This was definitely the hardest beast for me

Tbh, this was the hardest ganon boss in the divine beast I've ever fought. This was actually the last divine beast that I did, and it literally took me tons of tries I couldn't even count. I searched up some tutorials on youtube on how to defeat him easily. But, they didn't really help me kill him. But when I saw this video, IT. WAS. SO. EASY. I did it on the first try when I did your methods. Thanks a lot!

just to let you know when he is floating after you have destroyed his shield and he is shooting those balls you can shoot him with bomb arrows.

I have a suggestion if you want some good weapons there is some good weapons on top of the skull in woodland tower and in a cave by Gerudo tower there will be a cave full of all types of gear and you can get some good bows after defeating the bird Devine beast and there are lots of bows by the yiga hideout and also maybe do the elephant Devine beast to get Miphas grace Whitch heals you hope these tips helped

This was the hardest one. After dying I don’t know how many times I took a brute force and patience approach. I used the Gerudo’s revenge shield, which would stun him and then I’d counter attack and then repeat and then when that ran out I’d run away and wait for it to recharge. It took a long time

By 'special ablilities,' I think he meant no other divine beast powers. The shock resistance was just a boost from cooking

Once you get get to a shrine with a mini guardian and defeat it. Then you get it's shield. Save it for guardian battles. Don't waste it on other silly enemies. I only started a year ago and 100hrs in. Lol. I'm old and don't have a ton of time to game, but botw is amazing!! I came here because I don't have hours to waste to finally realize to use magnisus on this enemy. Lol. Been at it for 2hrs now.

So let's say that I want to leave the divine beast right before the Thunderblight fight to try and re-up on items in the town nearby. If I leave, will I be able to get back onto the beat and not have to unlock any of the terminals? Is there even anything worth buying or making in the town that would help me in this fight? Asking for a friend

Yes, you can leave Naboris and come back. Just make sure you save so you don't have to do the terminals again. I haven't fought him yet, but bomb arrows might be useful if you're just looking for items in Gerudo Town. I always make sure I have food cooked that will give me plenty of extra hearts if I'm fighting a boss. For this one, you might consider electric resistance. The town does sell topaz earrings if you don't already have those, they give electric resistance. Some people also like attack up foods. It depends on your preference

His electricity never runs out for me

I'm only stuck on the second part where he drops the spike things I used a furry rush to beat him in the first half

beating this guy after only having 4 hearts and getting the heart vessel felt like a godsend

My problem is that I try to fight him when he goes into electricity mode. I always get one spotted. Thatnk you!

To be honest I ended up not struggling with this blight at all. I suck at parrying and dodging, but I just went daruks protection to catch the first two hits, miphas grace for the third. Each time he gets stun locked and I wailed on him with the master sword then one bomb arrow when he fell down. For the second phase I just dodged the metal spikes and then he did his first pattern again. Second verse same as the first and he went down. I ate two might simmered fruits during the battle (might bannanas x4 in the pot). But yeah actually wasn't a struggle at all. For me Lynels are the real bosses. Only managed to kill one so far. Guardians become easy when you realise you can just run them over with a horse, circle them and cut their legs off, rinse and repeat.

I am using your tactics but its not working!!!!!. I am on the second phase and trying to hit him but I cant! Hes too fast. Can someone help me out cause I have been on thunderblight for over 24 hours now and still cant beat him

How do you do with no arrows and no weapons

IDK if they made the game 20x harder since this video was made but when you hold your shield and try to counter, Link misses half the time even when you do it the exact way every time. Doing backflips is pretty much impossible too.

Look for rubber armor (use guides) and get fairy to enchant it to TIER 2, you’ll get a full set bonus called unshockable

The real way to beat him is: Phase 1: eat attack up food and when hes teleporting then flurry rush or parry then equip bomb arrows once you hit him 4 times he’ll go further shoot him with bomb arrow repeat this untill phase 2: Phase 2: Look where he is and he’ll try to kill you with metal bars hit it on him he will fall in ground then if you wanna skip phase three jump in mid air and keep shooting him in midair and boom!
