here’s a strategy that worked for me personally, it could work for you and it could not, idk! worth a try tho. 1. i started off just making around 2-3 attempts, not trying my very hardest. noticing his patterns and all his tactics. also learning how my weapons compare. (lighter is better!! no heavy swords) 2. take a long break. almost a week. i know this sounds weird but it helped me SO much. during this, save up weapons and watch LOTS of guides!! 3. face him. i beat him on my first try after my break. i’ll show you how i did that down below phase 1: the tactic i used was parrying thunderblights fast attack by pressing A with my shield out, then attacking him with a sword. once he’s down, get him with a bomb arrow then repeat. this took me a total on 1-2 minutes. phase 2: quickly run to the top platform and use magnesis to pick up one of the metal things and hit him with it. (don’t be fooled, this is harder than it looks and it’s overall annoying) phase 3: this phase was so infuriating. pretty much, try to do a similar tactic to phase 1, but you have to be much more aware of what’s happening as he’s much faster. eat LOTS of food. phase 4: ig there’s not a phase 4 really but for the laser, it’s important to note that if he has lightning around him, don’t rush him as you will take damage. i hid behind a platform and waited for the beam to hit. if he doesn’t have lightning around him, STORM HIM. this is how i beat him in the end. I PROMISE. you can do this! note: i didn’t flurry rush at all, just a lot of parrying. it’s funny because i’m bad at flurry rushing. we all are good at our own things

Haha im trying this with only 4 hearts now, but I think I will get there - I will switch to a guardian shield for the final phase to guarantee that I deflect the laser.
I couldn’t beat the third phase for the life of me. I got too distracted by the electric element in his attacks and the speed that I didn’t even realize I should be back flipping twice.
How to beat this guy through my eyes: This is meant to be the final Divine Beast. The dungeon is the hardest, the boss is *THE* most challenging and rage-inducing enemy in the game (besides Floor 10 of the Trial of the Sword). Take your time, do it right. I actually got stuck on Thunderblight. Naboris was going to be my second Divine Beast, but I had to leave since I only had 6 hearts, badly damaged gear, and no hearty food. After leaving, I made my way to every shrine I could find and collected Spirit Orbs. The biggest thing you can do for success and quality of life against this boss is the Master Sword, Bomb arrows, and lots of food. Eat a shock-resistant food before you fight him, and prep as much as you can. I've learned from my mistakes and I'm going to use this strat when I face this guy again. If you're having trouble with Flurry Rushes, just brute force your way to victory. Break his shield and spam Bomb arrows. He won't have a shield, and he'll be vulnerable for a short time. Try to use one-handed weapons as well, (the Master Sword for example 😂). That's my two cents. Hope it helps!

I was stuck at phase one and never gave him damage(I like archery over most fighting types in this game and apparently he is immune to arrows for the most part)
He's definitely the toughest boss for me. I bring several cooked durians; each of those restores your full health. I make sure I've got around 26 hearts and a high-level speedy elixir. (2 lizalfos horns, 2 hot-footed frogs, and one horn of farosh.) I've already beat Waterblight, which means I come in with the Mipha's Grace ability that replinishes all your health. Finally, I wear a fully upgraded rubber armor. This may sound like overpreparation for some, but it's a great way to help ensure you beat Thunderblight Ganon if you have lousy coordination!

Bro what this is the hardest boss, it my second one, I only have three hearts no food and a guardian sword😂
phase 2 tip: go stand next to the final console in the evil flames, he won't be able to hit you there. Then wait for him to be on the side, (not above the middle walkway, so he will fall deeper). Pick up a pillar, make him fall. Jump after him, glide and shoot, so you get bullit time. Try that with a 3x bow with 3x demage (5 cooked bananas).
For the longest I had difficulties beating this guy. Yesterday I beat this guy for the second time after I was hesitant to do so. The second time I did a little experimenting with certain counter attacks a yes backflip helped A LOT! Deflecting the attacks with a shield helped as well but what I also learned that while using heavy swinging weapons did more damage, it took longer to hit him and it gave him more time to respawn his shield and escape my attacks. I figured that using spears was quicker and gave me more opportunity to strike even though it took longer to beat. Eating foods that boosted my attack helped also too. In the third phase I tried my best to avoid his three step quick attacks that involved the electricity on his sword and around him. ALSO! If you have any bomb or guardian arrows, USE THEM it will help you and spare you a lot of time. But this is what worked for me personally. I'm not the best at perfect attacks so I hope this helps some of you guys.

You don't lose any progress or?
I beat this boss in about 15 minutes on my first try thanks to you and your advice! This was my third Divine Beast with Vah Ruta being my first and Vah Rudania being my second. I’d say the hardest part of this boss fight was probably stage 3 where his attacks get a lot quicker. Definitely have lots of food ready with shock resistance and lots of elixirs. I didn’t use flurries, bomb arrows, or backflips, I mostly relied on parrying. And using the master sword really helped speeding up the process so I really recommend getting that one before attempting this fight along with having many hearts. Watching this video made defeating Thunderblight Ganon a piece of cake, thanks!
This dude literally helped so much before this fight I didn’t even know how to flurry rush I did this for my second divine beast my first vah ruta I had no clue what to do on the pillars thank you so much
I absolutely HATE phase 2. I can get through phase 1 in 2-3 tries no problem, but phase 2 is the worst. I made it past phase 2 one time on a whim and haven't been able to beat him still. (Mind you, I have been fighting him all day since first thing when I woke up.) It's not at all easy, so if you guys are having similar problems, just know that it's 110% normal. -MY STRATEGY AS SOMEONE WHO HAS NOT BEAT HIM YET (take my words with a grain of salt.)- Phase 1. For the first part of the battle where Thunderblight first appears behind you, I recommend to take out your shield immediately. I also recommend you make sure you have full health and prepare food before going into battle. Pretty much as soon as he appears behind you, he tries to attack you with his up close attack. Make sure when he fully appears to target him with your shield out. (Also memorize his up close attack moves. Memorizing how many times he goes from side to side then tries to attack you with his sword is a good tactic.) 1:15 as you can see, he goes to the side 3 times before attacking. As you see him go from side to side, there is a whooshing sound effect. Before you try and dodge, make sure all those sound effects are over. I guarantee you will get the flurry if you practice enough. Phase 2. I found that if you sometimes step out of the fighting arena, Ganon will disappear and leave you alone for the time being until you step back into the arena, and there will not be any metal beams spawning around you anymore. (If you ever need to health up again, I recommend doing this.) He will also 9.9/10 NOT attack you in this stage. He will just float above and spawn beams around you half of the time you're in the arena. If you manage to knock him down with one of the beams, try and see if you can target him so he can't pull some fuck shit and attack you. Also make sure he's fully fallen down before paragliding back down to finish him off. Phase 3. DON'T and I mean DON'T try to deflect his lazor with your shield. There's a 50/50 chance of even deflecting it. I'd rather you hide behind a beam of some sort rather than trying to deflect them. First time I tried to deflect them, I died, even with full 6 hearts. There's a 8/10 percent chance of being safe behind a pillar than the 5/10 chance of deflecting the lazors with your shield. Unlike phase 1 where you can predict his up close attack, this one is going to be a more crude estimate. There is really no telling at where he is going, just spam that dodge like a motherfucker and hope for the best lol. (If you play through phase 3 enough, I'm sure you could figure it out in no time!) Anyways, thank you for listening to my over detailed and probably confusing list of strategy. If you found this useful, please comment and tell me! Also listen to 1upPHIL, his videos are ALWAYS helpful! :)

High level electric resistance and the Master Sword make this fight almost too easy. You can get electrical resistance via food like Zappshrooms or the Rubber Armor. You don't need to flurry or parry his dash attack if it is too difficult for you. Simply hold up your shield to block his attack, beat away his shield with your sword, then beat on him. Rinse and repeat. Another tactic is to jump off the platforms to get bullet time and pound him with arrows. The Great Eagle Bow can make short work of him this way. Also, you can block those lightning balls with a wooden shield, like the Pot Lid or Forest Dweller's Shield, or with Guardian shields.

I’ve been beating all the blights by just pummeling with arrows then a melee beating whenever they fall. Elemental arrows; for the water blight used shock and/or fire arrows, for fire used ice arrows, then for wind guy I used bomb and I’m about to do bomb arrows with this guy, also experiment with guardian arrows and I have the master sword with me for this divine beast. Thunder blight is like a lightning charged guardian it seems so I was deciding between guardian ancient armor or rubber armor and if guardian use shock resistance food or elixirs and if I use rubber armor I guess I’ll just work on keeping my hearts up cause there’s no elixir or food that protects from guardians. Maybe eat some defense or stronger attack foods.

@@1upPHIL I’m hoping too but I will have to finish botw first
Thunderblight ganon was the first boss i fought and was preety easy, the boss can be easily cheesed by having a level 3 attack buff aswell as a shield and a guardian sword or any decent weapon, If you do this you can use a shield to block the attacks from stage 1 fully then take the opportunity to land a flurry of attacks once downed which he will be in like 3 hits, continue to attack him, after doing some damage the boss will go to the second stage and should end up with a little less then half health, once in second stage, do as shown in the video which you will only have to do once until you move to the final stage, once in stage three, try and do a perfect dodge or endure a few hits, and you will have a chance to strike, destroy his shield and you should be able to defeat the boss in a couple hits. Your welcome.👍
Thank you so much I’ve been fighting this dude for 4 days 😭🙏

When I played in Master mode I made sure that I had the Master sword which was extremely helpful. Then I made sure I had the full shock resistant elixir which was extremely helpful too which meant I didn't drop any weapons during Thunderblight ganon's attack. Then I used the perfect dodge all the way to get in the flurry rushes. The only annoying part for me was the second phase with the thunder bolts and where you have to use magnesis. This bit always gets me. I also used stasis on him a few times which was helpful too. I basically made sure I chained all my attacks together to avoid him regaining health. I beat him first time in Master mode which was satisfying as he kicked my butt so many times in normal mode. ☺😄👍

I just wanna say lol thanks to this video and the comments I was able to beat Thunderblight on my 1st try! It was my last divine beast so I had all the other champion gifts plus bomb arrows and the master sword 😅
I actually didn’t go for the beasts I’ve just been exploring and discovering. 20 hours later I stumbled across gerudo and decided to do it. I have like 12 hearts and 28 armor plus a Buttload of potions thunderblight ganon tickles me 💀 but I couldn’t figure out that you needed to use magnesis on his thunder rods I wasted so many arrows. Thank you!
did it with 3 hearts, just used the inner speedrunner link in me and glitched the master sword. pretty simple fight. i just did vah ruta first cause it’s the easiest, and for its ez resurrection. boss fight was simple and easy.
The third fase omg thankyou soo much I actually damaged my switch because I got so angry from losing to this guy over and over again😅
I beat it first try because of this!
I forgot to take a picture the first time I beat him, so I had to reload back to the fight and take a selfie with him for the compendium 😂
Bruh he literally didnt do a single gardian beam at me and im so bad at flurry attacks 😭😭😭
It was super easy. I just hit em with my sword a bunch and hit him with those pillars and deflected the guardian beam and boom. Getting the master sword helps so much. And if you cook a bunch of durians you can get up to 20 hearts which is a big help too.
For me I got it pretty good until the phase three of his attacks where he does his double attack. What I did for this is before I even started phase three I would go outside and recharge my guardian things 😂
I had 9 hearts and NO any food at first i was struggling a lot but after 4 or 5 tries i managed to beat him without getting hit!
I ended up picking this as my FIRST dungeon. I had no idea this was meant to be the last... I only found out upon starting this video. 😅
I think the hardest part is when you use magnesis on the metal rods because the one I chose always gets zapped too early
I just flipped backwards out of the way and waited until I timed it right so I could do the flurry attack. The part I had a problem with was the final part of the battle where his shield becomes electrified i kept hitting it and he kept disarming me then I had to try and pick my shield and sword up while he was attacking me. Once I figured out that after you backflip and dodge him if you wait a second the electricity goes out of his shield then you can rush in and fck him up
Ah yes I do remember when the camera as always fucked me over but I was able to deflect the laser beam by sound. Super satisfying moment
Add use your rubber shock suit already faired up by 2 it saves you from electricity and stasis the beast and hit him as much as you can smack him a bit with the boulder breaker you get after defeating the bug like divine creature
My little brother is on his last Divine Beast and all he needs to do is defeat Thunderblight ganon so I'ma show him this video

The double swing attack is getting me every time
In phase three he also electrifies his weapons and will shock you mid backflip if you don’t flurry rush.
Thank you. I somehow killed him before he got to his third phase I only have five hearts and this was the first boss I did😅
im stuck when he goes into third phase. shield deflection works too instead of back flip when he attacks. also having fairys helps if you forget to hp up
Cooking 5 bananas (you just got a ton from the hideout) will make food that increases attack power for a long time.

Awesome tip! I didn’t know that!
I watched this right before fighting him and it was much easier than expected thanks 👍
Tip 5 is the most effective tip by far. Unless you play in master Mode and don't have time to wait around. By the time you get another opportunity to strike he will have a huge chunk of health regenerated.
Easiest startegy: Go to korok forest with 13 hearts near woodland tower, the forest near it. Now go back to the funny camel Now go fight him (Follow the fire btw in lost forest)
@bethanybrookes8479
Жыл бұрын
Side note: temporary hearts won't count. So that's 40 shrines you gotta complete minimum.
I probably tried backflip dodging 15 times, and while I did always dodge, I never got the perfect timing for a flurry. Anyway, after a little practice to get a feel for it, I realized that just using Daruk's Protection + 1 good Attack-up meal + a good 1-handed sword is enough to quickly defeat Thunderblight Ganon. But he was only my 2nd Blight. If I put him off longer, he would have had more HP. I found Fireblight Ganon very easy if you have even a handful of Ice Arrows, 1 decent bow, and an Attack-up meal. I don't know if other people do him first but he seemed like a manageable fight for your first major boss. Thunderblight would have driven me nuts if he was my first blight and I had crappy weapons.
Man I wish I had thought to use magnetism to grab the pillars. I used a boomerang to disarm his shield from the air then shoot bomb arrows at him. The upside is that I didn't encounter he laser beam before defeating him. Also this was the first divine beast I faced and didn't have the resurrection ability. That would have been nice also.
hi i know im late but how do u defeat when he does that super fast sword thing with his electric sword bc i always die then
For some reason, it won't stay locked onto him for me to do a flurry rush, and almost about every video I've seen, it's like they can stay locked onto him forever, this guide is definitely helped me, but it's infuriating that it's not staying locked on
thank you so much i was stuck like bro that lihting thing the thing has i died feoe it so much i almost slam my gaming system to the wall
After i got through the second phase i used the lightscale trident and got a flurry attack on him and just kept attacking. Only took 3 tries to beat
I saw people struggling with Thunderblight so I over prepared and it was a bit too easy. I had the attack up armor, thr master sword, electric resistance elixir and too many hearts.
My method: Phase 1: either backflip to flurry rush or wait for him to attack, then quickly hit him with your melee Phase 2: use a pole. Obviously. Phase 3: run away from him until his weapons aren’t charged with lightning. Then use tactics from phase 1 until his weapons are charged.
Phase 2 is the hardest for me, are there any tips for getting the lightning rod and essentially throwing it at him?
After hearing how hard he was I spent time just powering up but once I fought him I only found his first form hard but once I learn how to Perry him he became a push over
i did this with the fish armour, which i upgraded to the max solely because i look funky, and it was easy
Eat some defense boost food for phase one... and shock resist for phases 2 and 3.
I need help to beat him because at the part where it is his last phase of attacking I die
This is my last divine beast hope this will help. The last yter I watched told me I had to drop the metal pole on him but if I don’t I may have a chance!,,,, wish me luck!
Im starting to realise facing the vah naboris divine beast first was a mistake
I'm watching this 2yr after making it. I couldn't get the dodge or flip down on 3rd stage. I ended up using stasis+. When he was close to me to stop him and hit him a few times.
