This was amazing! Jon Culshaw did an amazing job voice Jeff Tracy! When he said “however”, it sounded just like Peter Dyneley in Thunderbirds Are Go. Also, Jeff has a favourite Thunderbird? What could it be? 1, because of it’s powerful speed? 2, because of the sheer size of it? 3, because he’s an astronaut? 4, because it’s sentimental to Gordon? Or 5, because it sees and hears everything and is generally God-like?

@@markfryer9880, I didn’t include it in the list because, when he was talking about his favourite, in Thunderbirds 1-5 were shown. Maybe Thunderbird 6 is Jeff’s favourite. Possibly due to its simplicity. Something doesn’t seem right about counting down from six though...

My own head cannon reason is a little similar. I like to think that 'fab' or 'fabulous' was a catchphrase of Lucile Tracy (Jeff's deceased wife), so every time they say 'FAB' its another way of remembering her.

As a member of the American audience market that was supposed to be the main selling angle of “Thunderbirds,” I can say that as a kid I was utterly fooled, assuming without question that it was some American show, just like Speed Racer, Kimba, and Gigantor. Yes, it pulled the effect off of seeming “generically American enough” in design, with its clever interweaving of obviously British characters and various other recognizable stereotypes to reinforce the cultural bubble illusion. Only decades later did I become aware of the more interesting production story. A convincing effect.

Well that just made my day 😀

Fun fact: FAB is in Brazil the Brazilian air force (Força Aérea Brasileira)

In ham radio, we use "q signals". QSL... means message received. QSL? is asking if you received the message. I'm waiting for IR to announce that Joe 90 is the love child of Brains and Lady P. (She always had a "thing" for smart men).

@@ACtheLegend well true, but remember, this was in reply to a kid's letter in the early 90s and in all honesty, was more than likely made up by some bloke in charge of the mail on his lunch break pretending to be Jeff Tracy for the magazine, and thus has very little to do with actual TB canon outside of a kid's letter.

Considering in Give or Take a Million he described Thunderbird 3 as 'good', he clearly doesn't have the same views as the average Thunderbirds fan. Therefore, his favourite is probably one of the least popular ones- so 5 or 6

In stingray P.W.O.R was a mouth full F.A.B is easier ,S.I.G too ,but a few episodes of thunderbirds Cry wolf for one the brothers say over and out not FAB
