Congratulations Sam. You are going to love working with that machine. I bought a Cloudray 7050 50 watt laser about a year ago and haven't looked back. Mine was a bugger to get into my basement. I had to roll it over on it's back to get it through the door. Not an easy feat as it weighs in at about 550 lbs. Once in, roll it back over and attach the legs. I hope you make a ton of money with it.

Sam I've had this exact system for about 2.5 years - it's been absolutely flawless and so much fun. You will love it. One suggestion - buy a California Air compressor like the 8010 - It's only a couple hundred dollars and is incredibly quiet and a big upgrade from the one that came with the Laser. Have fun.

@@Samcraftcom If I know what you mean - the moisture trap that goes between the Compressor and the Laser - I did for a long time but I haven't had that connected for a few months - with that said I think it led to the only minor issue I've ever had. One of the solenoids got stuck open (so it wouldn't stop the air in between running files) and I think that was directly due to me disconnecting this trap and moisture getting in. I took the solenoid apart and cleaned it and it works fine now, but now I know why they recommend one of those traps, so it's worth it.

I do believe that this is a sponsored video, much like the rest. Trust me when I say this. My OmTech 60 watt CO2 laser was nearly $4,000 out of pocket. People who make laser videos attract those who make lasers to showcase their products.

  • @HalfAssHomestead

That is about the same size as my OmTech 60watt CO2 laser. I didn't have the advantage of doors and tractor. We had to remove the base to squeeze it in, and then reassemble after. Not an easy task. Plus, here in NY I have to run it off a Commercial Water Cooler. Mine vents off the side rather than the back.

For the last 24 years I have owned and operated only air-cooled RF laser sourced CO2 machines in my business. The liquid-cooled glass tube Chinese machines always had a much lower quality to their raster engraving but decent vector cutting capability. These Thunder engravers are dirt cheap so I understand the attraction from that standpoint but aren’t you sacrificing the quality of your output? Have the Chinese done something to improve the quality of their glass tube laser output?
