Thunder Mountain Speedway hosted the first-ever Rod Carter Jr. Memorial race in honor of the long-time racer and multi-track champion. The Hobby Stock feature saw several different leaders as Zac Karr found himself chasing Bo Gilley as the laps were winding down. Gilley had his night come to an end as he had his engine expire in dramatic fashion. This turned the lead back over to Karr who paced the remaining distance for the win. Thunder Mountain Speedway is a third-mile clay oval located just south of Corbin, Kentucky.
