Can we all take a moment to appreciate an actual stop-motion animated music video being produced in the year 2020 by a small, independent studio, being funded by another independent creator who blew up big enough to help support other smaller artists? I'm so incredibly happy to see Danny and Brian not only give opportunities, but as much of the spotlight as they can to studios that I probably never would have found out about otherwise, working in unique forms of animation that are all but dead in the modern era.

@@2D_Specs I am so, so, so glad to see these niche, less 'financially viable' animation styles getting new life breathed into them, especially being able to experiment like that (the talking storm clouds effect was a personal favorite of mine.) Stop Motion from anyone other than Laika is like christmas morning for me. Y'all did amazing work on this, and I adored every second of it.

If you have the interest and time, I highly recommend turning off the sound and setting the video speed to 0.25x. This song is INCREDIBLE and the amount of work gone into the animation is just unbelievable -- watching it like this will allow you to see the scenes a little more broken down into their frames, and appreciate small details that are only there for a split second. Danny's facial expressions alone are a labor of love, and I was delighted to see how the "tornado" effect was achieved when his character spun around (1:42). Overall, just a triumph on every level and very deserving of the extra appreciation! ❤

It was mentioned in a comment on some other NSP video, but the inherited headcanon I subscribe to is that Danny already has the powers of the ultimate ninja, up to and including perfect immortality, but eschews everything to do with that lifestyle in favor of making amazing music. Brian is a ninja who tried to kill Danny, and failed, so now he follows him around trying to learn the secrets of his power while still murdering everything else, in the same manner he lived his life before meeting Danny. There's a ton of songs where Danny gets mauled by bears or stabbed repeatedly or breaks both his legs or whatever, but he's perfectly fine after thirty seconds offscreen. That's why.

@@sgk1111991 That's not really how our religion works. He could become a legendary hero or even a god for doing great things for the community though. Also Odin doesn't hand out powers, especially like that. Now in keeping with both the lore and NSP's style, you could say that Danny boned Odin when he's shape shifted into a woman. Odin can change forms and is known to travel the world, so it's possible. Probably would piss off some of the other heathens though. And then he'd say his balls got super-charged from fucking Odin or he's confused why his balls have magic powers now, as if he got a magic super power STD.

This song gives new meaning to the term "lightning rod".

My favourite part might be him getting struck by lightning and saying that he awoke the next day...and he's still lying on the sidewalk. Ninja Brain just left him lying there all night.

Ninja Brian’s Psychotic eyes stays even in stop-motion. No one can stop him.

God this rules!! Brian really has some cool moves here, and Danny’s faces are just fantastic. I especially love his yell near the end “And LIGHTNING!” THIS IS SO AWESOME!!🖤❤️💙

This whole video feels like the extended cut of the beginning intro to a bad-ass 80's cartoon.

Gotta be honest, I think that it is ludicrous that Dan was not only able to locate and simultaneously purchase a unitard small enough for his testicles, but then ALSO just happened to find a cape that perfectly fit them proportionally.

I'm watching football, Tennessee Titans vs New England Patriots, and as they cut to commercial I heard a sample of this song! No lyrics of course but I recognized the music. Congrats Danny, NSP made it on the NFL!!

A detail I don't think anyone else has mentioned, but I really like the scene with Ninja Brian fighting that big fellow. He so often instakills his enemies(which makes sense), so it's nice to have an elongated fight scene! Amazing work, both animators and NSP

Acorn shot from the tree of life cracks me up every time.

The coming of this song was foretold by; "Queen's - Bohemian Rhapsody" and Danny.. that power is indeed.. very very frightening.

The design for the thugs is perfect for their role in this video. They’re big angry boars, so they’re cartoony, but still intimidating. They have little detail for their bodies so the focus remains on Dan, but still manage to be expressive. The dark blue contrasts really well with Dan’s lighter color palette. Everything about them just fits their role in this music video _so_ well. I’m not really even saying “I really like these dudes,” it’s more like “I like how well this thing’s design works for its role.”

This concept deserves an actual show or comic

The "Let There Be THUNDER" part is the best, honestly. Maybe it's the pause in the music right before it, the twist on the classic "Let there be light" line, or the great guitar riff. Whatever it is, it's beyond phenomenal.
