Good memories of the LHX. Never did figure out how to use the TOW missiles though. Just kept seeing the screen flip 360 degrees again and again

Really cool!! Didn't know this was in the works, loved DoS flight simming back in the 90s and play DCS in VR now. Looks like tomorrow my beloved 21"CRT will get fresh new content!

i remember playing choplifter so this is a huge step up from that lol

Actually have Desert strike on my phone. Still a blast to play this game.

Really hope momentum is available along the way, that bit did look a bit odd. The 16-bit strike games even has that option, so fingers crossed. Looks like such a great homage to the olden days of air combat games.

Thanks. The reason it works like this is to make lining up with the winch a bit easier. Stopping on a dime was, I felt, more accessible - I appreciate the suggestion though. It's something I'll look into.

Like mentioned, I'd like to see an 'advanced' or 'difficulty' setting that allows momentum drift! Its absence caught me out a few times as i pre-emptively 'corrected' for expected drift. The visual pitch of the helicopter in hover flight not actually being 'level' as i would have expected caused me confusion too. The real Apache hovers with a little nose up (rotors independently level) Being a DCS player, memory is kicking in and I'm trying to fly it as if the flight model were more complex. That lead to me jumping off the helipad at the end! I find it much easier to fly when I'm looking at the controls visualiser than trying to 'feel' by looking directly at the aircraft. These are all learned preconceptions that a beginner won't have to fight!

It would be nice to see a refreshed version of the original F-117A Stealth Fighter 2.0 (the original is on STEAM) with retro graphics but in high resolution and refreshed sounds and working natively under Windows. Procedurally generated missions in many theaters of the world and two modes: arcade (AG+AA) & realistic mode (only AG) made this game extremely replayable. The original still works fine, but the resolution is too low in aspect ratio 4:3 and the sounds are weak (on AMIGA it was much better) and you need to install the Roland MT-32 emulator on PC to have some more sensible sounds. A remaster would be nice. Microprose... please!

Almost as stable as the old Gazelle FM, just way less twitchy in responsiveness!

It would be cool if it has an isometric view option like Desert Strike.

Does it support other resolutions than 320x200?

Its hardcoded to run at 320x200, it'll scale that up to whatever resolution you're using, even 4k, but it'll still just be 320x200 'pixels' displayed.

I played this in the arcade! Hahahaha
