Thunder Helix - "Crash Rescue" scenario (with Lewis)

Ойындар

Here's a preview of the latest scenario mission "Crash Rescue". The mission is randomised and on this occasion I was tasked with rescuing the crew of a downed Avenger gunship.
If you're reading this on the 5th of July, the mission is available to play via the preview/beta branch on Steam (see the settings menu for the game). There's a little bit of work left to do on finishing off the de-briefing text, but the core of the mission is there. I expect to put this live on the main branch in a few days.
Hope you enjoy this video! Check out Thunder Helix here:

Gorgeous! Can't wait to play! Any thoughts on trying for a physical release?

Love this so much! Kinda want a 'retro' mode which cuts the frame rate to like 5-10fps so I can pretend it's playing on an Amiga 500.

The Lewis (Huey) is so funny to play. Change totally from Avenger. Missions are more risk but have soooooo style

Glad you like it ! I tried to make all 3 helicopters feel like different characters.

Thank you! - other games/projects you mean? Not exactly, I have some early thoughts on other projects - but I want to give most of my focus to Thunder Helix. .. I have been experimenting with ray-tracing lately though. I wondered if I could make a late 90s style renderer that you could make PS1 era videos with - rather than using modern renderers which are "too good" (kind of a parallel with how I needed to make my own tech to make Thunder Helix look so old)
