I have this and paired it with the Honeycomb Throttle. It's amazing! I agree with you on your points with the yoke and I'm afraid of breaking the switches on the TM throttle. However when I fly VR, I find it easier to navigate around when paired with the TM quadrant throttle due to the layout and the size of the throttle handles.

I have one of these, and I concur largely with this review. The yoke is life changing. The throttle quadrant isn't, but it's not a *bad* throttle quadrant for $100. I do agree that I will get the honeycomb quadrant when it comes time to expand, but for the time being I have a single throttle input and flaps and speedbrake and that works fine for me (don't need asymmetric thrust at the moment) so I wouldn't necessarily recommend delaying purchase until march.

Superb review, been looking at a few reviews now of this Yoke and currently own the Honeycomb Yoke, glad you answered most of my thought questions already, one question though I'm not sure about, does it auto centre ? I guess so with springs. I think I'm going to grab one now, but just the Yoke itself, pity about the faux spring clip check list ... also will the rest on top of the yoke be OK with a keyboard? Great detailed review, thanks for helping my purchase decision.

Thanks for quality review. I am RW pilot and IGI. The Honeycomb Alpha, after 2 years of use, is pretty tired. It never had very good resolution in pitch. (No hall sensors). It is now very sticky in pitch even after cleaning. This is perhaps due to shaft style yokes. The physics are just not there. This causes twitchy flairs mainly. I have tried all sensitivity setings with MSFS, XP, Spad etc. There is not much one do about low res. The newer Alpha for xbox/pc has hall sensors. could be better. The pendular style has much better "physics. The forces, when you pull on yoke with left hand are much better. I use this with TM TPR rudders and Bravo Quad. Great combo for Longitude in MSFS which has pendular style Boeing yoke. The stupid nutbreaker sliders axis on front of yoke are not needed, except for Xbox users perhaps. Gear lever is OK but not great. still use bravo gear lever. Love the spring tensioners. Greater spring tension forces lead to better trimming . Don't purchase quad. Save up fro Bravo. Thanks again.

To my mind, this is for experienced simmers who are ONLY interested in flying Boeing jets. It is great for that... but controlling most other types of aircraft would be odd? The Honeycomb Alpha yoke, while not as specialized, feels like a more well rounded, flexible package... and is less expensive. I know there are people out there who only fly ONE brand of planes... but they seem pretty few and far between. I see this TCA yoke being reviewed and recommended on beginner / general computing publications and channels, and I'm not sure someone wanting to dump a few hundred bucks on a nice shiny new set of controls for MSFS on an XBOX or something entirely understand the narrow scope of this thing...

But I really am impressed...the low resistance of the throttle controls means I'm not gonna have to worry about regular wear and tear for about 4-5 years. The all metal internals certainly make this an interesting choice but at this price I’d say get yourself a Fulcrum yoke. It’s the best non force feedback yoke there is and for what it is the price is amazing. It may not be well known but it puts the bigger brands to shame. Unfortunately most of these reviews never mention it in comparison because as far as I’m concerned it’s the bench mark by which others should be considered against. The Honercomb’s have some nice features but they will not last and we are already beginning to see issues with the alpha cord and the bravo internal wiring and no doubt the choice of pots over Hall effect will also start to cause issues in time. If you are serious about flight sim do yourself a favour and check out the Fulcrum yoke and their work in progress throttle quadrant. No affiliation just a delighted customer.

VR is why I went for this, I really liked the honeycomb but with no way to see it I was anxious it was just too busy with controls. Also note that whilst you only get 3 levers for the Thrustmaster, you can go 1 speed brake, 1 thrust with reverser and 1 flap. Whilst the single thrust is perhaps not as realistic for airliners, again having these three levers setup like this is much more suited to VR and there's never been a time I wanted differential thrust anyway. Also note the thrustmaster positioning of buttons below the thrust levels and the dial, that should make setting the basics whilst not being able to see much easier.

The "premium feel" rubber goo won't be premium after a few years. That stuff degenerates into a sticky mess. Not having that stuff sprayed on the plastic it a positive thing.

The best solution of Boeing aircrafts is Thrustmaster(Yoke) + Honeycomb(Throttle) + Logitech(Flight Rudder)

I am in the market for this Yoke but there is something keeping me annoyed. Its looks kinda cheap, also the little thrust levers below it and the crapy looking landing gear lever. We are waiting for an affordable boeing yoke without the crap but with a pendular design. So honeycomb pls come up with one.

No, its not worth it when you can buy a Honeycomb Alpha yoke and Bravo throttle quadrant for about the same price. If you really want a joystick then buy a Warthog. I have all three and highly recommend them...depending on what you are flying.

The quadrant is so dumb. So manny missed opportunities and the whole design looks like its supposed to force users to buy two instead of one. I can't believe that Boeing approved it. It looks like it should cost 60€ to be honest. Sad to see Boeing going with this bad of a product especially because it will likely be the only Boeing yoke on the market. Sad that it isn't the B737 style.

500 dollars is a lot for this yoke, even 400 dollars. My main problem with it is: Why does it have to be a column yoke? The length of the column is too small for such a design to really make much sense. At extreme ends of travel this thing just bends over too much. The whole thing just seems really gimmicky. The Honeycomb yoke does a lot better, but I dislike how little travel it has. Makes small movements very hard. I returned my Thrustmaster yoke and got a AGRONN yoke instead. If the selling point for you is the column feature, I would buy something else. This yoke is pretty good otherwise, but I think it is a little overhyped and overpriced.

Is it worth $500? No. Even an actual boeing plane isn't worth that much.

Hi VRP, . I like your quote re: the quadrant: "It's like it was developed by a different team." It's amazing isn't it that one half of the package falls far short of the other in quality design. How on earth did this get past the quality checks? Think I'll do a mix n match using the Boeing yoke and the Bravo quadrant. This makes more sense I thinks. Thanks for a great review ~Rm @Navisim101
