I agree 100% on the angle cuts, makes everything look that much better. When I used to build decks on houses, we would use a grinder with a 60 grit pad and soften all the sharp edges, huge difference. Thumbs up Dale.

Looks good. Little bit of wind noise in audio but not to bad except for brief gusts.

Hey Wayne thanks for your comment Hot dip galvanized is good for freshwater and brackish water. Salt water I would recommend stainless steel but make sure you use a lock washer or lock nut the threads are so smooth on the stainless steel that during a hurricane the nuts came back off.

What’s the purpose of having such tall pilings?

jasonbadler Hey thanks for your question, the 63 foot Hatteras sides are about 8 foot off the water so that when the water goes up and down the boat will be able to slide gently up and down on those pilings.

How difficult is it getting permits? Is the EPA up your ass all the time?

Hey, sorry for taking so long to get back. Yes, it is a long process. I have probably three separate companies that I hire out including my company that does permit work for us to try to keep the ball rolling so we can keep the projects moving out.
