I got some of the pronouncations correct, like Nehemia because I have a friend(but my friend's a boy) named Nehemiah with an 'h'. Elentiya, Dorian and Chaol were names I got correct. Endovier, Terrasen, Adarlan and Rifthold too. You know, when I heard that Calaculla was worse than Endovier, I said that since Calaculla sounds like Calculus, which is maths and I don't really like maths, I came to the conclusion that it was no coincidence that Sarah J. Maas named it that. I just lmao when thinking of that.

I am definitely Team Chaol. Dorian seems like he's more interested in the attention Celeana gives him. Plus, Chaol clearly genuinely cares for her more. Although she hasn't told him much about her past, he still seems to feel empathy for her. And that scene, while she was fighting Cain, and he reached her hand on one side of the white line and she reached her hand on the other? That was beautiful, man. And the "Thank you for making my freedom mean something", like yoooooo. The review you give makes it seem like Dorian was the only guy who did cute things. Not to mention, Chaol gave her a ring. And the hug at the end? And he always teases her, too. And I just, I love him so much omg. #teamchaol

This whole Chaol and Dorian business reminds me too much of Will and Jem, I CAN'T. (I'm sorry if you haven't read The Infernal Devices) Though everyone seems to be team Chaol, for some reason I find myself seriously attracted to Dorian... I guess it's bc he reminds of my fave book boys.... The gorgeousness, the sracastis humor, the arrogance, THE DADDY ISSUES. ALWAYS THE GODDAMN DADDY ISSUES. but yeah, it makes sense that Celaena would end up with Chaol since he seems to understand her more than Dorian ever will....... BUT TEAM DORIAN..... I think I'm Team Chaol, although I love the Dorian banter and moments. But I just think seeing Chaol open up and see Celaena do the same, and read about them gaining trust and all....I think there's lots of potential. I've only read Throne of Glass so far, however.

Chritine should really read the Assassin's Blade. It really explains a lot of Celaena's behavior and Sam *oh god* my heart still hurts.

Chaol irritated me in the beginning, but as Celaena got to know him and he opened up a bit, I LOVED him! He's strong, serious, attractive, smart, um, not a prince who sits around all day, and so much more! I don't know, Dorian just doesn't do it for me. He's that type of guy who, like, has the looks and the charm and is sensitive, and that's just that. I feel like Celaena likes him just because he's attractive, but her and Chaol have a more deep relationship, one that goes beyond looks.

I thought I was the only one that imagines Dorian as a blonde, idek why I do but when the book clarified that he had dark hair I was like NOPENOPENOPE HE IS BLONDE. END OF STORY.

Need I even say it? Team Chaol. Chaol is a more serious character who sees strategy and uses caution, while also having sarcastic fun. Dorian likes every girl he meets, and Celaena would just be another story for him to tell had he not actually fallen in love with her. Also, when he gave Celaena the puppy, it was becaue she saved it from him killing it. Aside from the fun banter the two share, I'd much rather have the next book focus on Chaol more.

I just read this one and I'm currently reading the second one. I actually didn't notice the 'love triangle' spoiler thing on the back of the book until I was nearly finished the book and I thought it was so stupid that they put that on the back of the book as like the main thing that happens! I think that the love triangle is kind of a sub-plot, and the competition and all of the other stuff which happens is way more important. Not everything is about love triangles!

Sorry im just team Chaol all the way!! Its obvious they like have a special bond and i think its going to blossom in the next book! At least i hope so..

I think that Chaol might be endgame. When he was kneeling beside her in the ring, she was like "his face was all that mattered." and whatnot. And then when he hugged her, she was like "I could stay like this forever." And when she said, "I can't be with a prince" Chaol noticed the inflection on the word prince. And going along with your Cinderella point, when Celaena showed up at the ball, CHAOL was the one who went and took her hand. I think the twist is that she DOESN'T end up with the prince. Her feelings, throughout the entire book, were pretty stiff toward the prince. She wanted to kiss him, was physically very attracted to him, thought he was kind and intelligent. But she only ever admitted to "caring" for him, and when she broke it off, there wasn't an ounce of sadness. She was smiling. And in the end, she walked off arm linked with Chaol. I like Dorian better as well, so i hope I'm wrong, I want them together so badly. But I really think Chaol will be endgame.

Reading Crown of Midnight right now! LOVE THAT YOU'RE READING THIS SERIES. I can't wait until the hardcover of the 5 prequel novellas comes out! I'm dying to read them!!

I just got Empire of Storms in the mail but it's been a while since I read the series so I'm watching all of Christine's Throne of Glass booktalks to remind me what happened. I'M SO EXCITED!!

what if Chaol will reclaim his rights to the throne of Anielle and than Celaena could marry him and save the people! I think that that is how it is going to end, it would not have been mentioned if it wasn't for that! Or she will have a choice to be the queen of Adarlan or Anielle and she will marry the one she loves! It will be interesting

When I read Throne of Glass I kind of thought it was cute and I was always sticking to Chaol all the way xD I got really depressed at some parts when Chaol left for few reasons in the story. *coughs* like the Ball

I just finished this book today and I really liked it. I didn't expect that Cain was the one who killed the Champions by using the differential and he consumed all of their power to beat Celaena. Their last fight though was intense. I'm glad he died at the end though. Some of my favorite characters though so far are Chaol, Nehemiah, and Celaena. Their great characters. I need the second book right now. 😊

Update: (SPOILERS FOR HOF) I finished Heir of Fire about a week or so ago and OMG YOUR PREDICTIONS WERE ON POINT!! With her becoming Queen and what not. I can't wait for the rest of the stuff you mentioned to come true XD

I think she'll end up with Dorian because that's the only way Celaena can achieve her destiny. But this love triangle is great because I would be equally happy to see her be with either of them, though I think when Dorian matures a little bit they will be really compatible and awesome together.

I saw this vid when you posted it and since then, this series has literally changed how I look at other stories. IF IT WASN'T FOR YOU CHRISTINE I WOULDN' T HAVE FOUND MY FAV SERIES OF ALL TIME!

OMG. Thank you so much for always recommending this series. It's been on my list to read for a while. I felt like now that it's summer, I could really get into a longer series. I started this book earlier today, and had to finish it before I go to bed. Even from the first time we met Dorian, I was rooting for him. I'm such a sucker for dark hair and blue eyes, a sarcastic sense of humor, and love interests teasing each other, so to me they're perfect together. I just can't see chaol as anything more than a friend for celaena. Im so happy I started this series.
