Just thrifted a great old picnic basket that I plan on making over. I am searching out some ideas. It is my present favorite. I have also used your idea of putting plants in baskets. Great video! Thanks for sharing.

Gorgeous. Baskets are one of my weaknesses too. I also use them for everyday storage. I have a stunning garden trug I rescued from a roadside collection that is a favourite.

I had never heard of a garden trug, so, of course I looked it up immediately! I have seen these types of gathering baskets before, but now I can call them by their proper name. 😁 Is yours fairly flat or does it have short sides?

@@teresaelling-peacefulhome Mine has sides, most likely for harvesting fruits and vegetables. The longer, flatter ones may be for flower stems?

Years ago we made a trip to Arkansas and I found an oval basket with a name and date on the wooden bottom. This year I found a small basket in a thrift store, that was slightly tilted. I wanted it for Easter treats. When I got home I saw a name and date just under the handle.

Hi Mrs B! It is definitely interesting that what is available at thrift stores can vary so much from place to place . I have seen thrift hauls from the Midwest that include items I have never seen at a thrift store in California. Thanks for watching. 😊
