The discussion you had about new people not being able to enter the hobby is literally on point. Being in australia, I am struggling to collect just two single doll lines, OMG and RH/SH. Region exclusives are the death of me, as I need to import them in. Case in point, the Slumber Party girls from RH. I literally adore the set. But I have to pay 3 times retail to just get them in my country, let alone find one at a thrift store. (Yo, if you find em on sale and they're pretty, hit me up lol). But scalpers are just such an ick part of the doll collecting world, and like I get why people need the money, but it ruins some of the joy. I wish I was in america purely for the fact you have a reasonably healthy 2nd hand market. Aussies don't :( We either pay the higher end of retail, or triple the price of retail. And it's disheartening. It's why I both love and hate your thrift hauls. They're just amazing to watch, and im so excited for you and hearing you speak with passion and joy is amazing... but like... i'm a lil bit jelly haha xoxo

That boxed Taylor Swift doll is so cute! This might be one of your best hauls (at least since i've been watching you). If you're ever in KY (for some reason), there are quite a few thrift store chains down here with a lot of vintage stuff. I find booths similar to the 90s Barbie area you looked at a LOT.

I'm gonna go CRAZY once I fly to the US😭 The Barbie at 20:00 is a Fashion Fever! The other two are Fashionistas rainbow series Barbie(purple) and Fashionistas Swappin Styles Wave 2 Sassy ;) Reallyyyyy good haul, I'm obsessed with the variety of stuff you find! That 2000s section w the Polly Pocket cases and the CDs was kinda heaven to me ngl...

Omg Brooke you are now my favorite person. The fad collectors are the bane of my existence. I've been a doll collector since I was twelve (for context I'm 29 now) and in the last two years or so, I've seen absolute stupidity in the doll collecting community. I have nothing against new people starting to collect, but like...I love my Rainbow High dolls because they hit the same notes for me as My Scene did...I absolutely can't stand most of the online communities around OMG, RH, NaNaNa and other current brands. I can't stand the know it all collectors who want to tell others how/what to collect, who think owning half a dozen assorted ratty looking rainbow high dolls makes them an authority on all dolls.

I never really read in the comments beyond surface level, but it always makes me so sad when you mention how heinous people act in regards to dolls. I love your positivity and excitement so much and I hate to hear that in just sharing your excitement you get hate from people who feel you should know or do everything they do. I loved the finds though, lots of cool stuff!

OMG YASS I wanna gp throfting again soon. I asked my thrift store about the dolls AND THEY SAID THEY WILL PUT THEM BACK OUT AGAIN AND IM SOOO EXCITED. Also i got 3 new bratz dolls, the 20th anniversary Cameron, jade and sasha. Mainly to steal their clothes but I also wanted to use the dolls lol.

I love the towels! Recently I've been checking every section just in case! Also LOVE the Taylor Swift dolls! Also in 9:44 I used to see that doll as a kid and wanted her SO bad and saw her on clearance and my mom never would get her for me for some reason and yeah I definitely would have bought her just because of that. But I probably would have picked a couple other dolls! Haha! 21:22 is a Teresa. It was very common in the 2010s (as I see it anyways) to give Teresa a streak in her hair for some reason even though that's Skippers thing.

I always wanna comment “ooo! I would have gotten *whatever doll*” but I never mean it as you should have gotten it. Just enjoying the finds as if I were shopping for me

I agree with you on the Barbie Fashionista bodies - they were much better than Made to Move in my opinion. With MTM I’m always afraid the joints will snap because they’re so stiff. And their elbows look so strange! Though I will admit they can hold a pose better.

Great Haul! One of the MH merch items that I would love to own is the person sized skulette pillow. It reminds me of the little one that comes with Clawdeens bed. I adore it! I like the 80s ponies as well. I have a collection of the She-Ra horses that I adore. They hit that childhood nostalgia button hard for me. I would love to see the fillies once their hair is done and I would also love to see your plush MLP together. That Oh-la-la case would look really cool just displayed as it or with it open on a shelf with a doll on each side. I love the mirrors on the inside. Reminds me of the OG Kenner Blythe packaging. I love when you find a bunch of different items from various time frames. :)

Im very jealous at what you find. You find stores fulled with cool stuff. The stores near me im lucky if i find one barbie. In a very rare chance i have found two monster high dolls and two dvds. I actually found more monster high stuff at doll tree, burkes and ollies that the thrift stores. It was books and a mega blocks set. Yet, finding them keeps me wanting to go back just to be sure i don't miss on the others i could find. Didn't know they made towels. I will have also start checking. Love the vids and i have learned so much. Congrats on the move. I am a new collector of dolls. I saw the monster high dolls in shops but couldn't afford them at the time. Me and my bf would go look at them when ever we ran into walmart. I was a big barbie fan as a child in the 90s. My best friend and people like you got me not scared to get back into it. I Be so excited to watch u're videos n see what u thrift at the thrift stores I've been thrifting for over 30 years since I was sixteen me an my best friend when we was teens used to find Designer handbags Gucci n Louis Vuitton for dirt cheap now days they put them behind the counter in gdwills unless u are at Goodwill warehouse were they weigh things by the pound and u have to bend dig for items. I find allotta things for dolls an dolls now.

I was just about to go to bed when I got the notif, so I of course had to watch this first ☺️ I did have one question though (it's something I noticed, not just in your videos), is it uncommon to use re-usable bags in the US? Because I always see people leave stores with plastic bags, but it creates so much waste 😭 Here in Europe we shifted over a couple of years ago already, but it seems like in the US it's still common to just give plastic bags?

Here in the U.S almost like every store gives plastic bags. Honestly not a lot of stores care which is sad cause it’s hurting our environment! Bags cost about 10 cents each so if you don’t wanna pay then you just use a reusable bag. Some grocery stores do sell reusable bags that they encourage you to buy too

Yes, 1000% agree with the scalping comment. I use to watch this Amazon reseller channel, until he started clearing shelves of toys.

I really wish we had those kind of stores here, but we gtot only small second hands (comparing to these malls you got) and flea markets that are as well smaller thna what you have here.

This place is awesome. I went to the flea market recently and the prices have increased by maybe 30%. It makes me sad, but I understand that people have bills. It just means I have to save up to purchase lots. The increased prices at my flea market and the price of gas means I am going to go less frequently and buy less. Still fun, just not the same. :( Also, I agree with what you said, back when I used to make flea market videos, people will point out a doll is rare, why didn't I get that? etc. It's annoying for sure.
