Hey there! It isn't always great for me either so I totally get how you feel! I recently went to Goodwill and the shelves were bare. I was recording for a video and it was a big bust. I love to use pheasant feathers!

The pine cone candle holders are an amazing find! Gotta love Rub and Buff! And the beautiful brass bowl is perfect with the sugar pine cone and sprig. Love a grouping of pictures... and I love to add a small wall clock either oval or round for dimension in the group. The brass deer head bookends and the needlepoint are just perfect . You really have an eye for balance and weight in a vignette. I am definitely going to try and paint some of my fruit gold. What a high end look for little effort. Really enjoyed this video.

Hi there Lisa, I like your designs in the way you decorate and thrift and make your home really beautiful with what you find but one suggestion that I would have and it's just my opinion, but I think your books would look better displayed with the covers on the books displayed instead of the pages I think that would look a lot prettier but it's your design and after you get it all done it is very lovely....

I had to back up the video to make sure I heard you correctly. You did use black pepper. 😁 You make me smile sweet friend. You're always so creative. The lamp is cool! The brass tray looks brand new now! I do have a 'special' way I like to fold my blankets. Lesa everything is so pretty, warm & inviting! I did not hear you say where you got the pine pie in the urn. I like to keep those fillers but have not seen one like that. I even looked before Christmas in the only place in my area that carries those and the did not have anything in pine or cedar. Keep up the marvelous job!

Hi Lesa!! Love your thrifted finds!!!Really love the re-do on the lamp!!! Ive been looking to replace a couple of lamps and your”new” lamp is a great idea!! It looks so high end!! If you do this type of re-do again could you show/tell us how many paint layers you did; how you did your brush strokes etc. to get that look?

Hi there! I am so glad to hear that you would want to see the lamp DIY because I am currently working on a whole video of lamp makeovers. They are one of my favorite items to thrift but they are usually out of date and not very attractive. I will definitely share all the details of how to paint them with different techniques and colors. A quick rundown though is a spray paint primer followed by 2 coats of the chalk paint with course ground black pepper added in. Apply in random crosshatch strokes. I didn't seal mine but would probably suggest doing that with a spray polycrylic. I was lazy and have my lamps on a smart plug so I don't ever touch them except to dust. 😅 Thanks so much for watching. I appreciate you comment and question!
