I’m a 50 + lady with 2 delayed children at home. Sometimes while they are at school I go thrifting just to talk to adults. Thank you for your kindness with co shoppers. Sometimes you make their day. 💙💙♥️
I love you, Sue! Your observation about your fellow shopper was spot on! She may never know you from KZread, but she was able to glean that you both had wisdom and a friendly soul. Many people have worlds that are shrinking & so lonely. Walking thru a thrift store can be nostalgic. Thank you for being respectful and kind to her.

I never comment on this site but I was coming to say the same thing. Kindness first. I love these 2 ladies.
❤❤❤☺ Kindness first! ☺❤❤❤ Sue, your comment was right on the money! I've been in the Community Aid with that lady, and I also got the impression that she's seeking social interaction as well as bargains. We had a nice chat while waiting in the loooong line on half off day. You never know what other people are going through, and a small act of kindness can make someone's day. ❤❤❤☺

Jen and Harvey B YES!! My sister’s friend had a task to complete once. This was given to her by her psychologist. She needed to talk to someone new everyday for a certain amount of days. If she felt comfortable, she was asked to give the strangers a hug. Well, she did just that and a man started balling in front of her because he had no one in his life and hadn’t had a conversation with someone for 5 years!!!
Yes always be nice to your fellow thrifters Sue is right, you may be the only person they have spoken with in awhile Pays to just be friendly 😊
Oh how I love what Sue said about politeness and kindness!! ❤️
You are so lucky to have a friend like Sue. What I wouldn't give to have a Sue, thanks for sharing her with the world.
I try and make a friend wherever I go. I may never see them again but we are friends for a moment. Be the reason someone smiles each day.
Nice of you to give that lady some of your time when you're in a rush. You're good people.
Good for you Sue, I do home health/ cleaning/cooking visits and socialization is at the top Of my worksheet!!! Getting paid to gab is awesome 😄
Sue gonna make me cry!!! What a beautiful heart you have. Thank you for sharing!
Great video. i get people all the time talking to me as if i am their long lost friend as well. I always ask my friends do i have the face that says i want to talk. lol i just go with it. it makes them happy so what the heck. Thank you so much for all of yours and Sues hard work.
Too funny. You two are such celebs your thrift store! I so appreciated your comment, Sue, on caring for the feelings of the older woman.
OK. From the get go I'm jealous. Our Goodwills tend to be picked over before even hitting the shelves.

Our Goodwill sells good stuff on eBay there was a time I wandered into the back by accident and observed a huge sign they were using to keep track of eBay sales and all stuff is from donations. Our restore dpes the same and r way over priced I even have seen dollar tree stuff for five time or more worth it

Thrift store consultants, I like that. Too funny! I knew Sue was a good woman. Yes, kindness first. As always, love, love your videos. Thanks. Wish I could hang out with you at Starbucks. Have a great day ladies.
You need to do a house tour of all your decor you have thrifted and kept for your own decor!!!! Please 😩🙏❤️❤️
I agree with Sue. When random strangers come up to you and strike up a conversation, it's usually because they're lonely and crave human interaction. Talking with them for a while is a way to show everyday compassion for others. (And you never know -- sometimes you'll meet a fascinating person.)
Sue, you give me a heart attach every time I see your purse in your cart unattended.... Please please please be careful.

God bless you Sue. Yes, kindness first. During my thrifting adventures I find so many folks that enjoy talking or even just a smiling face. So many people are lonely in the world & a cup of kindness will make their day(and mine). Great haul. Always enjoyable.
I want the soundtrack from your Goodwill! It reminds me of my college days!
Ohoo....I love that beautiful scalloped thin quilt top Jocelyn just had her hand on while she was looking through the hanging things....
The thrift stores you frequent are SO WELL ORGANIZED! Wow! Like items together, vinyl-covered wire organizers to add more shelf space - just lovely.
13:18 that actually is Okami/Okamiden figurine! I think that one is a limited edition too :)
Your videos are so awesome! You inspire me with my side hustle of thrifting! Sue is such a funny and awesome gal! Your chemistry is so stellar! Thank you so much for the videos and information.
Love your site! Love your friend Sue.....what a delight! Her comment about being nice to seniors was spot on. What a kind person she is!
Spot on about the dolls & the kindness ! No act of kindness is ever wasted.
I know you love your starbucks, but in the UK we stopped buying there after 9/11 when they refused to give survivors in New York bottles of water, despite the fact they had pallets of water. Its always good to know the ethics of a company before giving them your hard earned money !

Sometimes managers or employees do things that are not necessarily what the company as a whole would do, which is what happened in this case. Starbucks has apologized. The only time I think a company should be boycotted is when the corporate practices are something I think are not ethical or moral. I don't shop at Walmart because I think they pay their employees way too little and they have a bad history as far as promoting women, who are the majority of their workforce. Oh, and Starbucks didn't refuse them water, they charged the rescue workers $130 for 3 cases of water.

I don't recall that having any impact at the time here in the UK (in fact I don't even remember hearing those claims) and it certainly didn't seem to affect their continued growth. What probably had more publicity was their tax affairs where it was revealed in 2012 that Starbucks had paid only a little over £8 million in tax over 14 years on UK sales of around £3 billion. While they had not acted illegally, their avoidance schemes left a rather bitter taste for many UK customers [insert joke here about the quality of their coffee]. Trade dipped enough following those revelations that Starbucks subsequently agreed to review their arrangements. Ethics and business are not always easy bedfellows.
You two are such a joy to watch! Never a dull moment when you two are together. It’s funny, I’m always approached by someone ready to chat it up in the stores. My sister in law hated to go with me for that reason. As I’ve gotten older I am better able to be gracious with conversation, yet more experienced at setting the boundaries. Anyway, love the lamp you bought and look forward to your next video. Thanks Sue and Jocelyn for sharing your finds today, I love watching the Thrift Store Consultants😊 .
The prices at the Goodwills in my area are two to three times higher than the one you're shopping. It's unreal.
I really appreciate when you two gives us guidelines on what to stay away from as well as what to buy. Thank you.
Sue, you're going to make me cry. I used to work with veterans in care, you are totally right. love is what keeps us going. a nice and genuine chat with someone is enough love to share with a stranger
We need more Sues in this world!!! I ADORE her "kindness first" attitude. Where did she grow up? How did she become so knowledgeable about so much random shit? Sure comes in handy when thrifting.. She kinda reminds me of a fabulous, female version of Pete (CLH), lol.
Would you please do one on shipping and packing ..please :)
I did years ago sell some victorian dolls that I had gotten on a yard sale for 1.00 ea. They were so beautifully dressed. You two are so adorable together. I love Sue's idea about the older lady you two encountered at that 1st store. I think she was right.
Loved the comment about kindness. So true! We practically grew up in the nursing home when my grandparents were there. We were the world's youngest therapy workers by talking to everyone there. We did hellos, hugs, we sang, did cheers, drawings, served water, added creamer to coffee, etc.. Most never got visitors and it meant a lot to them! And now means so much to me!
Okay you’re both such sweethearts! The type of gals I want as friends 🤗
Love Sue "I mean real limited edition not Danbury Mint limited edition" 😄 she's so right 😄
Oh MY GOSH!! i love you you two! It’s much more fun when cute Sue is along. You’re both darling!
Orange is the new Black! Very retro! I bet they will sell! Nice job ladies💗 you guys always make me smile
My mama always told me “It’s nice to be nice”, apparently Sue you are from that same school of thought. Awesome! You guys are the best, happy thrifting!
You 2 are so much fun to watch. Love your videos. So glad I stumbled upon your channel. I've been having tons of fun at goodwills, thrift shops, and estate sales.
YAY! Sue !!! LOLZ the B O N G again " Theoretically if I were to be smokin dope, I wouldn't share it with you " OMG !! lol I LOVE SUE !!

LOL!! Someone else probably hid those lamps for later!
Didn’t you ladies know? You’re both famous! You have inspired many people including me to get out there and search for treasures to keep or flip! I love you ladies! 🥰
Couldn’t you hear me. Lol. I tried to tell you to get the Eastern Star cup and saucer and sell it to me. I wanted it in memory of my Mom. Oh well, I will yell louder next time. 😀
Sue thank you for being so kind hearted. I bet you are so right the little lady was probably lonely. you just might have made her day with your kindness.
Love that back pack and purse! And Thank you Sue for being kind and helpful to that stranger lady! I would have been the same way but sad to say not many of us left!?
I love watching you two!! You make my day brighter and more fun!! Your the kind of women you’d want as best friends!! Keep up the good work! I wait daily in anticipation of your next post!
That hat... I think it's one of those things to wear at the horse races, or the Derby? Its actually pretty cool.
I just adore Sue! I love all your vids but the ones with Sue make my day! Kindness first!
Love you guys! “I think we must look like we know what we’re doing....” so awesome 👏👏
This was simply food for the soul! Every time I think I can't laugh any harder, you two drive me to new heights of hilarity. ha ha ha This was such fun and so wonderful. I have to say you are also very kind and it would be so wonderful to bump into you two out shopping. Kindness first is what I always try to be especially in stores like GW. Today's video reminds me of an elderly lady I met some months ago in GW. She was in a motorized wheelchair because she cannot walk anymore. The first time we met was because my cart was blocking her from getting down an aisle. She was not happy about it, but instead of getting crabby back, I not only moved my cart, I asked her if there was anything she wanted to see on a higher shelf, to just let me know and I would get it down for her. She was so surprised she just drove off, but ever after that whenever we see each other we smile and stop and chat a bit. We still don't know each others names, but I found out she lives alone and GW is one of the few bright spots in her life. Her kids are grown and don't live in the same town, so she goes to GW for an excuse to get out of the house. Sometimes a soft answer does turn away wrath. People are lonely and sometimes so isolated they wear their prickles to keep their loneliness from showing. A smile and a kind word can make their day. After all even if you are young you can smile. Time will cure the youthful part. ha ha ha You both can now put T.S.C. after your names on all of your business cards. You have become official Thrift Store Consultants... and good ones at that. I did well at one of our local antique stores today. I found a pair of purple hounds, salt and pepper shakers, labeled S.W.A.K. and signed Lynda Cornielle. She is one of my favorite pottery designers of all time, her stuff is so fun and funky. I got the pair of dogs for $8. Pairs have sold on ebay recently for $112 - $135, and shipping was another $4 - $7 dollars on top of that. I'm not selling them tho, they are just too adorable, but I will put them up on my blog. Bless you both for just making my day, not only are you good at what you do, you are hard to beat as a comedy duo too. My sides ares still aching! ha ha ha
I just recently discovered your channel, and I love it! I’m a thrift fanatic here in Canada 🇨🇦. You inspire me and give me my thrifting fix when I can’t go myself! 😜 I’ll have to keep my eyes pealed the next time I go out thrifting.
I loved what Sue said about being kind to strangers....that she may have been lonely and you might have been the only people she's talked to in weeks. So very sweet! "Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares." ---Hebrews 13:2
You two crack me up...watched this video twice and had to come back and comment again. 🏃♀️ 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
Sue is so sweet. You two are both great peeps!
Thank you Sue for reminding everyone that kindness comes first! Love ya'll here in Texas!
You guys are so awesome! I gravitate to very unique items also. Such a fun shopping trip, and thank you Sue for the doll lesson!☺️
Sue you understand people. I love watching you girls having fun❤️
You gals are so cute! I love your energy! Thank you for educating us on searching for true treasures. 🥰
Good pass on the owl shakers, they’re from Dollartree!
When we married in 1973 we had some vases like the blue and clear glass spill vase you showed. They where very high fashion in those days!
That hat / door wreath would be great for the horse race track !!!
Oh my gosh I love your videos!!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I used to “antique” quite a few years ago, then I got sick and was stuck in bed 😡 recently I’ve been trying to get out again and your really inspiring me. Ty!
At 14:28 that peacock chair plant stand... omg... worth about $50-75 ish and if you threw it on ebay us Canadians would buy it in a heartbeat! :)
Oh my goodness, this just made my day! I do get approached by chatty shoppers in thrift stores asking advice and I try so hard to be sweet and kind, but sometimes it’s distracting when you are trying to find treasures! But other times the people turn out to be delightful. I had to watch the video twice because I’m a multi talker and was loading laundry at the same time, so I missed some good content. Even when you don’t find much, I just enjoy the conversations you and Sue have. I have the same tablecloth and napkins you bought, but in green. They are just waiting for me to iron them to sell. Not sure my favorite pieces you bought, but when you do the haul, I’ll see them closer. Thanks for a fun time thrifting.
I love watching you two shopping. My mother was GREAT at good will shopping, bought great vintage items. BUT she also LOVED her dolls an purchased many, many like the one you show. When she passed I gave all of, those dolls to women at work with children or grand children. I hav e so many Madam Alexander doll in the boxes and they are very difficult to sell, unless your a collector. Thank for taking me along, it reminds me of my mom.
We love you AND Sue together doing this. Please let this be a weekly thing. You guys make an awesome team. You both have so much charisma TOGETHER. Next time leave the bloopers and flubs in the video.
You guys are so nice to talk to that lady. Very kind. You probably made her day
I like the orange lamps i have teal walls. It would look great with
You two are such fun to watch. Thanks for taking us with you. Fun thrifting !!
love your vids with your kids and sue the most! so informative and fun 💖
I don't thrift to resell but I enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Yay I can't wait for the "how we met" video!!
You two are the best! So respectful, kind and patient with each other. I truly enjoy your videos!
Be polite and listen. I find that occasionally someone will just talk my ear off at a store. Lonely people need someone to talk with.
I love the term " Thrift Store Consultant" awesome you both are so approachable with those around you. I also love the 2 brass herons on the shelf at 8:12
Hey, those orange lamps will go great with the shades that Sue found and that color goes with the 80's theme. ;) Love watching you two together. You are a hoot!
That little white wolf with the fiery shield on its back is Ameterasu from Okami!!! Those items have huge resale value!!!! I collect Okami merchandise and am so jealous you found that!
Just found you last night and I stayed up WAY too late watching. I adore anything vintage and I adore thrifting. I love learning about all these different items and seeing how much they can sell for.
17:01 While playing with the fun derby hat ya'll missed the Franciscan Desert Rose plates! Those are GOLD here!
We should do a traveling 'seductive angel' in the FB group! LOL. Kind of like those traveling gnomes. Also - I was a Job's Daughter (daughters of Masons), and also in OES (Order of Eastern Star). I've done pretty well selling Masonic emblem, OES and such - but it's mostly to people I know.
I'm so glad you got the hat! A new video! I just can't get enough of your channel! Love you guys!
..and it's a Tshirt! The thriftstore consultants! 😄👍
So happy I just found your channel. I absolutely love your videos. You and Sue are such a great team. ❤️
Yay! Can't wait to watch how you two lovely ladies met! :) Really looking foward to it! ♡
I see a lot of people mentioning the kindness these gals showed to that lady and how she, among other people, go thrifting for the interactions. I had my first interaction on my second thrift hunt (new eBay seller as of 2 weeks ago) and this lady came up to me, making a joke about how she thought I had mis-matched shoes but I just had a walking boot since my toe is currently broken. It led to a good 10 minute talk where we discussed everything from kids to building things to plumbing problems. My point is really this: I needed that interaction as much as she did. I moved recently and am on a rural back road. I don't have any friends I see, I don't go out. I just "mom" (and eBay of course) So if you see any lonely shoppers, regardless of age, be kind. Because we truly appreciate any connection we get. 😁
I would love to have a Nescafe mug! I remember my mom having one and it was her favorite cup!
Sue that is exactly what I tell my DH anytime I get trapped by someone at the thrift store. I'm polite and smile, talk a little because that maybe the only time they talk to people. This is from a introvert that hates talking to people lol.
Always great ladies. I would of called that a Derby hat, being from Kentucky.

I wish I had a thrifting bud like Sue. She is awesome. You guys are SO FUN together.
I have been housebound after being attacked by two armed robbers in 2007. Housebound for near on 13 years. Sometimes people love to talk because they have nobody. Well said sue. That's a lovely thing to say. Xx
Sue around 12:10 that’s VERY good advice and so very true. I’m now one of the elderly ladies that talks to everybody! But as a nurse in my younger years there are absolutely so many older people that just long to talk with someone who makes them feel important and seen, even if only for a few minutes. I sat and talked with many when I had a few free minutes and learned so very much about their histories - their stories were amazing! One who came by wagon train when she was 7 from the east coast to the south coast. She told me the details of that journey and life as it changed for her and her family (parents siblings and extended family). It was amazing but the sweet little lady didn’t remember how many children she had when she grew up. Some felt so worthless and a few words made them feel important again! If only we could pass this on to the younger ones now!!! I totally enjoy your videos and I’m learning what to look for but I just HAD to point to that but if information regarding the need to be nice to all but esp to the older folks! Thanks!!
