The feathered birds look fabulous on a Christmas tree, especially if you put them near clusters of bright red berries and little crystals.

Enjoyed seeing the book that showed where you’re located. I was curious. I enjoy your videos.

Those little fall shaped s&p were a good size to use in a fall themed tier tray. 😉

The little "art set" you were looking at is actually used in Asian writings and art. The little dishes are used for inks.

Thanks Nateesha, another good video. A lot of my mom’s relatives live around Rosthern, Saskatchewan. We had a family reunion in that area in 1968/69 and about 800 people came from all over the States and Canada.

We have a si,liar antique mirror, a family piece. It’s missing a piece. Dr. Lori did a 30 min appraisal on a bunch of things and she pointed that out. Donny loves that mirror. My mom left me some antique rims and I love them. I love the shaving cup. That would look great in so many places. Love brooches too. Fun haul!

The Japanese bear sculpture is light because it is made from porcelain clay which is strong and thus can be cast more thinly. The Blue Mountain pottery piece (I'm from Australia so have never handled one) appears to be made from terracotta, a lower firing clay that is not as strong.

So, it was tofu scramble and fried potatoes this morning 🤣 🤔 I was thinking, when you flipped open the Borealis Forest book... Maybe you could work in some Spring botanicals. What seems common place is often new to your southern friends. And we could share our commonalities. Spring is sweeter, every year. That was a wine set. Fancy opening devices and stopper, some have wine glass fobs. Love the wood box, glue ages like that. It's truly vintage and likely handmade. Cute knife and fork, nice for food table party fare. All my best to you and Wendell ❤️

Fun finds... I love the 4 piece set of the cows... they are just absolutely adorable. So... you didn't get any books? You must have the will power of a saint... a room that size, I'm fairly certain I would have at least brought one home... and I already have more books than I can display. (Yes, I'm a book hoarder... married to a book hoarder!) Hope you are staying safe AND warm. We had -11 degrees overnight last night. We haven't had those sub-zero temps in a while... like maybe over two years. Thankful for the well functioning woodstove to help our boiler out during these cold snaps. Enjoy the rest of your weekend... Hugs, Penny Sue

Hi Penny! I just bought a stack of books from that thrift store not too long ago, so I didn’t find any this trip. I’m always looking for reference books but they are hard to come by here. Wood stove sounds warm and cozy! Stay warm 🤗

Hi, the woodgrain on the cabinet looked like an owl face. Love the bear. I have the cow creamer from an auction lot. It has red paint dripping from the corner of the mouth, very gruesome. 😂

Oh bye I decorate with old books. Take the covers off and it looks nice. I have vintage and antique books from Donny’s mom and they look cool stacked. I always check the thrift store for books I go thrifting with you as I am laying low due to the pandemic too many cases daily in Phoenix AZ. Have a wonderful Fay

I think they make them, or they were donated. I see them all the time, sometimes they’re used for hanging and sometimes they’re for sale.

Maybe so - I had a Japanese painting prof in college and I think it was call sumi painting. We used solid ink in those bowls and that type of brush.
