That's sweet of you to share your story about no Xmas tree. Most people have not struggled with having less. I grew up not having much, but always had love and have wonderful memories of getting an orange, candy cane, and cracking nuts. It's humbling. Looking forward to more videos and watching you grow. I have a tree collar and absolutely love it, but your skirt is such a special piece too! I saw someone layered both in their home and it was beautiful. Ie. They put the skirt peeking out from the collar. Totally dependent on the sizes of both! :) Can't go wrong with either option in this case!

2nd tree!!!😂 I LOVE vintage ornaments! I buy mostly glass ornaments even though I have 7 kids! I keep some plastic towards the front bottom mostly because of the dog bumping them. Most years we have a couple casualties...except the year the tree fell over...a lot of broken ornaments that year!😞 Enjoy decorating!!🌲

Love the little tree and garland that you found!!! For the longest time, I hated decorating for Christmas. Then I finally figured out that it is because I really don't like RED in my home either!! Once I got that sorted out and figured out other color schemes I have looked forward to all the Christmas hoopla lol! This year I'm doing neutrals and greens. By intentional living, I mean living frugally, with little waste. Thrifting is a huge part of that, but I will eventually probably expand to money saving tips, and going over what we choose not to buy, and how we try to live without giving our money to popular brands and large corporations.

I see a sparkly fun personality that will definitely be fun when you share your hauls and decorating. I would go for the Tree skirt because I would love to see how the tree would come together with the style you are kinda sorta debating about. The collar can either be used on another tree, loaned to a friend or family member or tucked away for next year. If you decide to use collar, use tree skirt in a basket or chest like a blanket. 5 bucks! Can you believe it?!

I've been married for 35 years and the best Christmas we've had is when we didn't have much money. I was a stay-at-home mom and I used to go flea marketing, definitely thrifting and some antiquing. Most everything in my home is used. God is blessed us over the years but I still remember when we had to watch our money to buy Christmas. Remember, Christmas isn't our birthday, it's Jesus's birthday. That was a saying on Little House on the prairie Christmas. I always recite that to myself when I feel down at Christmas. Cherish your moments with your children! These are times you will never get back, when you have children at home. Your home is beautiful and I can tell, you have fun finding treasures for your home. That's what's fun. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas!!

That’s a super tough choice between the tree skirt and tree collar, I love them both! I’ve been doing a woodland tree theme but this year I’m doing a primitive/Victorian tree. I’ve been searching our flea markets for decor and really enjoying the hunt. I already follow Miranda, she’s sweet.

I'm 53 and had gifts wrapped in paper like the first 2 rolls. Lay the tree skirt over the edge of your sofa like a blanket and you can then use the collar. Love your videos you do a great job. Miranda is awesome!

Okay how did we thrift the exact same little tree 🤣🤣🤣 sooo hilarious! But girl don’t say that all of your videos are incredible!!! There’s no timeline on decorating for Christmas even though through social media it can feel that way sometimes! I relate to your first year of marriage so much, ours was very similar, it definitely makes you appreciate every little thing way more though that’s for sure! ❤️ I’m in love with all of your finds, such beautiful treasures and I say go with the tree skirt! 😊 I can’t wait to see your Christmas decor! I'm also not a fan of red and then all of a sudden this year, after watching a dozen christmas decorate with me videos... all of a sudden I'm like wait I want red and vintage/traditional everywhere LOL the struggle is real!! my kitchen is very vintage/traditional with red and green and santa vibes and our living/dining room is more neutral with pink decor on the tree (which i'm so tempted to change to red lol!!). also that thrifted tree skirt!? are you kidding!!!!!!! OBSESSED

You can use the collar with your main tree, and either wrap the skirt around the base of that little tree or display it draped off of a table or out of a basket. Love your video!
