Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Hi Everyone! My name is Andi Jenkins and I’m a chai-fueled thrifter, vintage reseller and interior stylist. All Put Together is where I share my latest thrift hauls and styling tips. In today's episode, I'm sharing what sold in my Etsy shop this week and then we're going to do a BIG haul of all the things I got thrifting and at an estate sale. And then I'm also going to share a few details on my pricing strategy for my new booth space and how it differs from selling online (on Etsy).

Wait for a bigger frame
If you cut the painting down you lose the look that it’s a sunset and gain the look of a wildfire in the background… and all the tranquility of the scene goes right out the window!
Please don't cut the art

Agree!
Do NOT cut the painting...order a custom frame with liner for it.
Bigger Frame, nice piece…
Don’t cut the top off, it loses a little if you do!
Never cut down a piece of are work!!! The artist captured the view and to alter it you would loose the artist's vision!!!💞💞🙃💞💞
Ooh please don’t cut the art the sky is so pretty! Thank you for all of your transparency! I love your videos I’m local, so I hope to meet you someday! ❤ Carrie
Would love to know how your clean painting and needlework etc
Don't cut the painting down, get a bigger frame.
Hilarious!!! Welcome to thrifting.
I’ll say it again Andi, you do a great job sourcing and creating your videos. (Don’t cut down the art! Wait for a bigger frame.)
Don’t cut that one ❤
Don’t cut the painting!
Thank you so much for this video. There are a lot of new resellers out there which makes my picking for them much better! I want resellers to see my case and know that they’re going to get a clean, good quality for cheap so they can profit too! Love it! Great show!!!
Don’t cut the art! Find a bigger frame, you would lose too much of the picture’s beauty. I do love the frame too. Love your videos! 😊
So funny - my FIL is a woodworker and he made us the same wood candlestick holders many years ago but in three sizes. Love your channel - TFS
I wouldn't alter the painting. The right frame will come along ... for you, or the buyer.

I agree, so far I have just been patiently waiting for the perfect frame. :)
Love your videos! You are an inspiration to me!! As for the art, I would hate to see the item altered.
Such a great video! Thanks.
Love the sheep in the frame! But i could never cut the painting...Also the smell thing, 100%, maybe that's why i mostly source glass lol
Thanks so much for the pricing info, Andi! You pick up great items. Had to laugh, as I think the same thing about small etsy listings...not for an hour of work, lol.
Show us your prep area - where you clean and prepare these treasures.
Congratulations 🍾 all your hard work is paying off 🎉
Glorious finds! Good luck at your show and with your new booth...exciting!!
Love all the new finds!!! The blue bowl set was AMAZING. I am not surprised it sold as soon as you listed it. haha.
Wonderful video!!! Always enjoy your learning tips!!! Very helpful, would always love more!!! 💞💞🙃💞💞
Another great video I loved, loved every piece of art you picked up. Even the one you had to clean off the brown uk. That MCM turtle wood box is darling. WOW you sold a lot. That’s wonderful…….👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙏🏼
I am sooo excited you are getting a booth space and can’t wait to see what you do with it moving forward! I started my first booth Feb 1st and am loving it! Thanks for all the inspo!
Love your videos Andi! Don't cut the painting. I'm certain you will find another beautiful frame for it. The brown mystery splatter story made me laugh. The painting is lovely, really vibrant colours, definitely worth the trouble. Wish I lived in the States so I could come to the market. 😞 Will have to make do with the video. 😊
I would keep the frame for something else and keep the painted board intact. You don't even have to frame it, they sell little stickers with hooks that you can stick to the back of lightweight items like these, so someone could hang it directly on the wall even with no frame.
Thank you so much for sharing some more very helpful advice on reselling Andi. And as usual, great scores. The sheep painting is so balanced and gorgeous as is, so I feel its definitely worth waiting for a bigger frame for that one. I can see your subscriptions are growing too.... so keep at it :)
Dragon Skin planter!!! Well!!! That's awesome!!!💞💞🙃💞💞
Great video Andy! I love your taste. Laughing out loud about the mysterious brown splash on your painting.😂 Reselling is definitely not for germaphobes❤
Hi Andi, you flashed the second piece of pottery real fast but it may be Bill Campbell. He has white bottom and squiggly signature. Research!
love video I would also like to know cleaning on painting and needle work.copper brass mixes and pricing for needle work I run into a lot of it but not sure were to start on pricing would appreciate some in sight I am loving all the info you share and what sold love to see that thank you for taking the time to share!
The pricing info was good and interesting.
It's more magical keeping the art as is
You styled everything so nicely at the end! I would not cute the painting. It doesn't look nearly as nice. I'll try to stop by the market this weekend! I hope it goes well for you.
Thank you for your willingness to be open & honest about your expenses and pricing. It is very helpful and your videos are getting super great! I can see by the comments that you really can't cut the artwork. Gosh you could even just sell it with out a frame if you want to just move it. If it's a standard size another frame would be easier to find. Good luck in your new shop space. That rent would not be feasible for me here in Maine. I need to look into it. I just opened my etsy shop and am ready to load it up after seeing that I made a few sales. Thank you for encouraging me with reality and positivity❣Noelle Stiles

My pleasure - I've learned so much from watching other sellers and benefiting from their transparency so I wanted to do the same. So glad you've found my tips helpful! And congrats on getting your first several sales!!!
I ALWAYS shop a market prior to committing. I’ve gone to markets I thought would be great and they weren’t. Layout was weird or no people or no one buying or booths poorly put together or looks like a flea market. Always pays off. TFS!❤
You are so funny/honest today! I guess it is worth some icky rummaging and cleaning work to rescue worthy art & craft pieces.
Never cut original art down. Just get a nice frame in the right size.
Darn! Bowls are already sold 12:30pm...
I would not cut the painting. Also, loved the formerly icky abstract ❤
Would like more in depth on Etsy
Hi Andi - I really appreciate your insights! I’ve begun collecting recently after dabbling sporadically in the past and I am now addicted to thrifting! The ick factor made me hesitate in the past but I’m learning how to navigate the dust and grime! I also realize it’s not feasible to keep everything and I’m toying with the idea of selling part-time, so your videos are very educational. Having worked retail through college, both on the sales floor and in loss prevention, I saw how easy it was for people to slip things into their bags. Given that booths at a store are not actively supervised, is theft of smaller items an issue? I assume there has to be some expected loss built in to your financial calculations but I’d be interested to hear your perspective/experience. Thanks again for all the videos and insights!
I sell a lot of old art. People made some unfortunate alterations in their day that destroyed their future collectbility and value. They cut down to size. They glued down to secure. They put oil and acrylic under glass...ETC. There are tones of frames out there. Wait for the right one that fits Buy a larger fram and have it cut down. Use a mat with larger frame. Just get by....the perfect frame will show up.
Hi! I'm interested in the reptile pot!!! How much would you list it for or place in your booth for?
Ment the word art...in my previous text!!! Sorry!
Great haul. Can see the temptation but no, you can't cut down the painting. That would be naughty.
I wouldn’t cut it.
Can you do a video on how you ship glass items? Or how would you package fragile items? Do you get insurance on them in case they do break through the USPS?
@AllPutTogether
Ай бұрын
I have a shipping tutorial on my channel that covers how I ship most things. For glass, I use giant bubble (not the small bubble) and make sure there is a lot of room around the piece. Sometimes I will double box it. I always privately insure breakables using shipsurance.
I want the little pottery piece, depending on the cost . How much is the brass tray?
Hi! I was wondering if you have ever found pottery at the thrift store that has the permanent marker price markings on the bottom? If so, do you have any methods of removing them off the bottom? Thank you!
love the sheep art, would you sell it without a frame?
@AllPutTogether

I’m trying without the frame first while I wait for the perfect frame.
Did that sheep painting sell? I’m in love with it
@AllPutTogether

Hi! It’s now listed in my Etsy shop: allputtogethershop.etsy.com/listing/1718557684. Thanks for watching! ❤️
What do you use to clean your brass?
Cool video. But why is Zooey Deschanel a vintage reseller now?
Maybe if you don't have a perfect frame just bring the art to the live sale? Saves time. Doesn't seem like you have extra time for projects right now. LOL!
How did you clean the mystery brown from the painting? Also, don’t cut the sky from the painting!!!
@AllPutTogether
2 ай бұрын
With soap and water, probably not the recommended way but it did the trick. lol
Wait for a bigger frame. Do not cut that canvas!
I would not cut the art.
OUCH. I had said don't cut down the painting but then I went out and bought two vintage 1965 paintings where one lacks a frame. (It measures 19.25 x 15.25). Do I sell it without a frame or hope to find a frame SOMEDAY? Indecision is how death piles begin. ERRRRR. I just decided to list it on Etsy without a frame but watch for a frame while it sits.
Doesn't Etsy charge a transaction fee in addition to the $0.20?
Could you do a video about your marketing consultant job? I'm needing help to grow my business and it giving me a steady income. Been at it this time for 5 years and it's been a struggle. I've done really well some months but then there are 2 or 3 months that nothing happens. I'm back putting items on Etsy, but am very slow at it because I have a lot on my plate. I think my main problem might be focus.

Yep, I don't expect free information, but I thought it would be good for her to maybe find more clients. I’m interested.
Don't break the composition by cutting the art, pls 😊 also, as an artist, I respect that this is how they wanted it to appear.
Nooooo! Don’t cut the artwork, 😢 the sky just sets the scene of a winters eve. I’m sure you’ll find another frame perfect for the painting. 🤗
Noooooooooo Andi don’t do it. Cut the picture I mean 🤣
The fact you got the brown splatters off the painting probably means it was coffee, and not something more... 'biological'.
I hope you don’t cut the painting. It would look fab in a bigger frame.
Don’t cut the art. It is a really pretty painting.
Don’t cut it down. Find another frame
Bigger frame
Please don’t cut the artwork down. 😣 I love the paint by number!
Please don’t cut the painting, thrift a bigger frame.❤
Please don’t cut the art down. Wait for a bigger frame
Cutting it down would totally ruin it.
Do not cut the painting.
Don’t cut it! It will ruin it! I did that and regret it. It was intended to look like that
Get a different frame. Never cut down original artwork.
Don’t cut that beautiful picture!!!
Nooooo, do not cut down the painting! No frame is better if you can't find one in the right size...
DONT CUT IT I WANT IT PLEASE!
@AllPutTogether

haha I decided not to and it sold as is. :)
Don't cut it down.
Most likely an exploding coke.
dont cut it! find a different frame..

also let us know if how you can get that cup ring stain out of the book!
Don’t cut.
Don’t cut it
save the frame, don't cut the art.
Ditto please don’t cut the art. You can find another frame but not another one of a kind art piece.
Begging you NOT to cut the painting. There are so many more awesome vintage frames this could go into, there's no reason to cut it whatsoever. I'm sure you'll find another one.
Please do not cut the painting😢
Please don't cut the artwork, never a good idea 😮. I'm sure you will find a larger frame or keep it as it is ❤
noooooo
Please, please don’t cut it. It will ruin it. The painting will look like it was painted by a beginner because the horizon will be smack in the middle of the piece. Right now it’s perfect.
Don't cut artwork. It's not a great crop and ruins the value. Sell separately. IMO
Please do not cut someone's art. Their signature is the purpose of the art
No please don’t cut😢
Please don't cut it.
