THRIFT FLIP How I Restyle, Refashion, Refresh & Upcycle Clothes

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Hey, Everyone!
If You don't know me yet, I am Vita, a crafty hippie homemaker.
If You are part of the hub, thank You so much, I appreciate every single subscribe, like and comment and a soul behind it.
Today I am sharing a fun pile of THRIFT FLIPPED clothes.
So excited about this video, since I put a lot of effort to showcase many items before and after, explaining what I planned to do with it, what I did, how I did it and of course a final result compared with before and after.
There is also a little explanation of how I crafted a cotton blanket jacket from my previous video as someone was interested to know more details about it.
I hope You enjoy this video, get inspired and don't hesitate to get crafty and creative yourself.
Thank You very much for being a part of this!
Love and Peace to All

24:32 What a fun western looking twist! I did not expect the fringe at all, and I love the way the seam looks just like the shirts cowboys would wear! I do find the body to be super flattering, I think you will get a ton of compliments on this one!

Such great upcycles! The jacket/shirt was the best one! Not a huge fan of the skirt/top conversion. Although it works on you😉,just not for me. The top from it though, killer!!❤ And the "cowboy "dress, CUTE!

Great transformations! Good job! Good modelling too. I like how you show the garment from plenty of angles. Some people don't do that and you can't get a good idea of how the pieces turn out. SUBSCRIBING! 😊

Ahhh thank You so much! You know I have one but I'm so weird and I simply prefere using sharp scissors ✂️... I think I developed a habit that simply works for me. I don't do a lot of things by the book. I guess "I did it my way 😂... 🤪 freedom of creativity 😊

Even when shoulder pads were popular most people eventually removed them. They either got out of shape or they didn't look right. Unless the lady had small shoulders they didn't work.

I agree 👍 I have tiny shoulders myself but I'd rather not pad anything shoulders or brass ha ha... I find it very uncomfortable when you lift your arms and have to wear a bag. I do like power shoulders on a blazer or a winter jacket sometimes but not dresses 😊 Thank You for a coment ❤

@@hippiecrowhub Broad shoulders are in my genes. The shoulder pads always looked masculine on me. The shape of my shoulders are still feminine without the pads so I always cut them out.

I wish you had left the lace inserts and just removed the shoulder pads. You could have removed the stains. The "back bib" was necessary to keep the facing down. The other items are nice.

  • @hippiecrowhub

    @hippiecrowhub

Thank You, from up close the lace was very worn out and looked like an old bra. And that bib was not holding anything down it was only sticking out every time I put the dress on. In theory these things have logic but practicly does not work. I personaly love the fringe on the dress way more than the old scrapy lace. But again, this is a personal preference. ❤ and I do not advise anyone to do exactly what I do. I am only sharing what I do 😊

Most of those are great! Good job! You may want to reconsider wearing that black shirt skirt of yours. It’s ok in the front, but because you have an ample bootey on you, it’s SOOOO SHORT that your hoohaa is barely covered. Looks cheap!

Ha ha 😅 thanks for the comment. I would never wear a skirt that short without tights and boxers underneath in real life. This demo was just for the idea. As that's the only mini skirt I had (witch I wear on top of leggings) 😊 And no worries my hoohaaa was not actualy out 😅 Also I used to perform samba so that skirt still covers enough 😅 Good thing I don't go to church ❤🎉

I don't think any of this is about being IN. It's a personal style 😎 I also don't mind looking like a poor girl as I don't feel the need to pretend to be rich ha ha. It's all about freedom to create and express yourself 😊 I like what I like and not planning to please everyone 😉 👌
