One of the better songs ever written by one of the greatest bands to ever grace the ears of humans. Thrice will forever be my favorite band.

You know thrice is a great band when no one has anything negative to say about them. A super rare thing. Easily my favorite band of all time.

The fact that this song uses lines from some of their best older songs - and that they named it Anthology….it couldnt BE more perfect. My vote for the best band to ever do it. Whos with me? And to sound like this live…

I remember when I started listening to Thrice while working out alone in the weight room during high school. People would come in sometimes and ask what band that was. Soon enough, everybody was listening to Thrice. Good times. The guitarist is incredibly talented, that was what stood out to me most, and even though they're not the same as they once were, their foundation is still the same.

I know this is 7 months late, but your comment beautifully summarizes my relationship with the music of thrice, starting as a punk teenager and moving into mature (hopefully) adulthood. As a band and as artists, they stayed true to themselves as they progressed through their albums, never moving backwards, but always wanting to become that next iteration of who they are.

Thrice has undeniably been one of the most influential bands in my life since I was 13 or 14..... I am now 35. I have grown with them and undoubtedly they have made a monumental impact on my life. Even knowing they are strongly rooted in Christian beliefs and I am solidly in the Atheist camp(not preachy about it, my choice make your own.), it makes no difference to me. the message in their music is still just as strong and powerful. Thrice fan for life.

i'm a guitar player, and i imagine dustin's voice over all of my songs .. it's the default voice in my head ... i wish i could find anyone with similar voice to bring my songs to the level i imagine.....thrice are my favurite band since i was sixteeen and now i am thirtythree

I have a playlist just called 'Greatest Songs Ever', I put this in and haven't found anything else worthy of joining it

They played this live when I saw them the other day. It was an encore. Super shocked and pleased! loll

No other band can exert positive emotions out of me (or anyone else for that matter) like Thrice can. BY FAR my favorite band...EVER.

This never ever gets old

Grossly, disgustingly underrated. Got to meet Dustin, Teppei and Riley in Charlotte a couple of weeks ago and they were a few of the nicest people I've ever met- especially Dustin. 'Anthology' is the capstone to one amazing musical career.

How are these guys not ginormous right now? So talented and sound amazing

this song always makes me cry because it was the last song they played in Denver before they went on their hiatus.

I enjoy listening to this version more than the one on their record. Just, so good.

That guitar going out of tune keeps it raw, too. And i love it (Teppei’s guitar goes out of tune after the first chorus)

I remember this was the last song on their supposedly last album. It's obviously called "Anthology", summing up the history of their music, and if you listen closely the lyrics are all segments from their other songs.

It was the penultimate song, but it definitely could have been the closer. Disarmed is the last song on Major/Minor and it's like a little neatly wrapped bow on Thrice's career as it was at the time. Until Hurricane. Thrice is thematically brilliant.

Those high notes at the end are so SOLID!!!

Every single album the band grew, like some crazy musical metamorphosis. Not that they made a bad album, they just continually made better albums.

This song is incredible, it's amazing. All the past references, it adds up to perfection. Thrice forever holds my deepest appreciation and admiration.

I'm the same age and started listening at the same time. Love these dudes so much. Words can't describe.

This song was one of my favorite moments at their Farewell Tour... I've never seen a crowd come together like we did during this song. Thrice is glorious, and will be severely missed.

It pisses me off that Thrice won't be talked about like the Beatles are talked about. Completely and criminally underrated. I know the band is okay with it, and I know us fans are okay with it, because we know how special this is. But at the same time, this is quite literally the greatest lyricist and singer of all time, and is backed by a powerhouse of people who know how to play their instruments, but not overplay them. They deserve ALL the recognition, and then some. They've made songs that make me want to fight, songs that make me want to love, songs that make me want to cry, and everything in between. For me, they are the end-all, be-all, of how I will judge anyone in the music industry. And they are the only ones that will be able to match that scale.

I'm so envious at how perfect all four of them fit together when they play. My best friends and I will never have that chemistry. And to think they've grown better rather than drifted over ten years

I want to thank you all for creating innovative, creative, and genuine music that has the ability to fulfill many genres, giving us listeners a wide variety that prevents you from becoming boring and redundant. This video sounds perfect, and you guys truly deserve more reverence.

only a few can understand the greatness of this song, and the glory of this band! It makes them far more valuable.

Some of the most technically proficient musicians who still give 100% passion as well. I mean there's literally no difference between the live version and the album except the slightly less polished vocals.

Lucky enough to watch them play in manila last month. So damn good live that will blow your mind!

By the time Artist came out, I had grown into something beyond an obsession to Thrice - a sort of realization that this band would literally guide me through my life. I'm currently 23, making a meager living off short fictions, and it has all been inspired by Dustin. Not Hemingway, Fitzgerald, Steinbeck, or Chekhov, but Dustin Kensrue. I wouldn't be doing what I'm doing today if it weren't for his words and voice. I usually set Major/Minor on repeat now when I sit down to the Word Processor.

Saturday afternoon, just after it rains, sun's coming out, flying down the road with the windows/sunroof down... generally speaking, this is the ideal environment to play this song.

It's not about growing and maturing the same way the band did, it's about liking this style vs their old style. They are good musicians and it has nothing to do with how I was when I was a teen. I have matured in different ways and am a different person but I still prefer the older style. It isn't like the dislike button is a hate button. It is there for our opinion. If Thrice wants to know what long time fans think of their music they can refer to these comments. It's ok for them to change

67Patapouf There is no maybe about it. I remember the first time I listened to Major/Minor, my mind was blown the whole way through and then this came on. There are no words to describe how stunned I was. Quite possibly the best song ever written.

3:09 gave me the chills... great build up

first heard these guys back in 2003 when i was buying the story of the year CD in warehouse music and these guys were on the shelf next to them so i decided to give it a scan and fell in love once i heard silhouette and artist in the ambulance. They still make there way in to my workout music.

it sounds so hopeful. I think it's about their journey. for the next time they meet up. "oh you know me and I know you." i love it.
